Hello Gordan! I'm new to this channel and I can definitely tell you've done a ton of research for this video, really appreciate your hard work! I am currently a year 3 student trying to figure out my career path and opportunities in the UK, so having listened to you deciphering all the law firms and their respective forte was really insightful. I can never think of entering the magic circle firms, the competition to just enter an ordinary firm is already though enough as an international student, really stressed out, but thanks again for making this video!

However, I would love if you could advise me on different things to do this year so that I can be successful next year while applying for VS and TC as being an international and a non-law student this would be my only chance at it. Hi ! I am interested in sitting the bar exam in NY. However I completed my legal education in civil law country. Now I consider taking LLM in UK. Do you happen to know whether LLM in UK will fulfil the same requirements like the LLM in USA (to take the exam in USA) ? Could you tell me. sth about what you did to take the bar exam, how did you meet the requirements? You said you did Master degree in UK- does it mean that one year of master in UK was enough to be admitted to sit the bar exam in NY?

Hi I think an LLM alone is not enough if you don’t have a LLB degree in a common law country. But you should submit online evaluation form to the NY authority to confirm!

Instead of GDL, why not try the QLTS route to qualifying in England and Wales.

I secured the TC before I passed the NY bar and my firm prefers me doing the traditional TC route!
