I actually look forward to the anesthesia that stuff is good stuff I tell you. It defiantly works for me during the surgeries I had. The only side effect I had with it was my body temperature dropped rapidly and I was freezing cold my body wouldn’t stop shaking it took a bit to warm up again but after they I was A ok and out of the hospital the same day.

Urgh scared of anaesthetics !!😔 had 1st section I saw them pulling a black tube out of my mouth terrified since ! Had 4 ops since ! Had to be sedated ! ☹️

Poor you. Hope you recovered well through it all. I think the tube is to help you breathe while under GA. Trust me you rather be asleep than awake for most surgeries.
@feversol5 ай бұрын
That’s the part that they don’t explain. You breath 100% oxygen from that mask as they inject the Propofol which knocks you out. THEN they remove the mask and insert the tube into your trachea that much better ensures you’re breathing and taking in the gas anesthesia. You really don’t need to know this except it would help you if you feel a slight sore throat for a day or two. I had a 3 1/2 hour procedure one week ago and did not feel anything later from the intubation tube but I have several times before. You’re actually temporarily paralyzed and completely unconscious so the tube doesn’t bother you but it is nice to be aware should you feel the mild irritation over the next few days.

I had surgery earlier this month to correct a bunion, everything went well. The next day at home when I undressed to take a shower, I noticed that my leg had betadine all over it from the top of my thigh to just below my knee, and all around my leg in this area. I have no idea why and I can't stop thinking about it! If anyone knows why this was done, please respond. If it matters, it's my right leg with the betadine and right foot that had surgery.

Let your anesthesiologist/CRNA know about vomiting so they can give you medication to minimize the possibility of that happening.
