I love Andy Stanley so much. I wish I could find a pastor like this. Church leaders that are also good teachers are not easy to find.

Andy, you're explaining of the Word has been a major blessing in my life and for my family. So often, Jesus, spoke in parables, and even the disciples who lived with him for years, had no idea what He was speaking about! But, He reveals Himself to us if we dig, pursue and seek Him. I've been able to duplicate to others how you've explained to me about the most significant event in all of history that happened almost 2000 years ago. The Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, changed the game for all of humanity. That event alone! Knowing this, we can all deal with the new normal because we are truly blessed by what we know to be truth and by One we know it's all for. While these are crazy times by our standards of the west, we've "All been selected" to be here during this crucial time to be a cog in the wheel to spread the Message of Jesus. What a privilege!!! Thank you Andy, for helping to prepare us all. Father in heaven, thank you for your ultimate sacrifice of Your Son, for us.

The New Normal! I so appreciated the common sense approach to all the sermons. I was expecially appreciative today as the topic followed my exact thinking during this time. No one can gurantee that things will be fair. I have to learn to accept REALITY and learn from it. Wow! what a concept. Thank you

So I read some are unsettled or upset about Andy's teaching but ask yourself dealing with this Pandemic are you more conscious about your health, have you reached out to Family and Friends more often during this time of isolation are you glad you did, Have you forgiven people that have slighted you because there are more important things to worry about, are you more appreciative about having a job and a paycheck and most importantly are you closer to GOD and you Savior today. Why change these behaviours when everything is back to normal ???

Introspection is the poor man’s wisdom. Reflection on God and His Word is the Rich man’s Wisdom. The “threat” of Judgement for sin MUST be preached or the Gospel is of no value to men.

The start seemed promising, but then he quickly wandered off into life coach territory. : (. I know, I know, he's trying to reach the lost. This doesn't seem to have much in it for the sheep, though. (I'm wondering, if someone actually gets converted at this church, do they then leave and go and find a church that does? One could ask that question of evangelistic sermons, but this doesn't seem like evangelism to me. Charles does straight-up evangelism and reaches the lost that way. But his preaching is even sweeter to those who already believe. I've never attended Andy's church, but wonder what it would be like. I can't imagine a believer really being nourished by this kind of stuff.

Oddly.. this video is the only Andy Stanley KZbin video to ever catch my attention. Adding to the mystery.. it is the ONLY Andy Stanley video which allows Comments. Only rarely.. have I encountered this prohibition against Comments, and surprisingly the greatest share of people wishing to avoid feedback.. have been young Christian pastors - like, say, Todd Friel, for example.. from Wretched Radio.. (who doesn’t like being sweared at.) Imho.. such people are indeed “snowflakes” who also don’t understand KZbin very well, in that they both resist Comments from readers.., and, in general, make videos which are way too long. Obviously Andy is the subject here, written for the lone reader who may someday read this.. now that the video is old, and all the birds have left the wire. My credentials for writing this are: I was raised Berean Baptist and Pentecostal.., then strayed (as they say) for many years, and eventually returned to God - partly because Babylon did NOT have the answers I was seeking, and partly, because Arnold Murray did. And… My motto as a writer is “Envy No Man’s Happiness" - which I try to keep in mind, since (imho) much of what passes for “critical thinking” is really just sublimated jealousy. The thing I wanted to say about the Stanley Family.. is that part of me (the closet Maoist) sees them as the embodiment of everything wrong with America. Rather than do honest work, they make a living with mere words and ideas. Under a government such as Maoism or the New World Order (One-World Government), I picture them being among the first to be straightaway sent to the rice fields or reeducation camps, in order to learn how to do something that actually benefits the GNP. At least Jesus was a carpenter.., and Paul (bless his little heart) was a tent maker, when he wasn’t being stoned and left for dead outside the city gate. Andy is/was like so many victims of nepotism - he grew up in a well-off genteel lifestyle, and wanted to emulate it, without having to embark on his own life adventure. Many of his youthful ideals and idealism gleaned from Bill Hybels was admirable.., but his life as senior pastor of a megachurch, bought and paid for by his father, hardly seems like he lived up to his earlier noble standards. While one can debate the nuances of doctrine or the conflict with his father.., what seems understated from his story are the age-old themes of sex and money.., or the way in which Christians interpret doctrines to coincide with their personal wishes - not to mention his more recent, abject poverty of valid information imparted to his flock, concerning Covid and the silent war being waged against America by the presumably Luciferian crowd who want America to fall under subservience to their dandy little One World Government. Turn to your neighbor, and say.., "Hello, 1984." All in all.. I do not envy Andy Stanley with his suburban accoutrements and mega-church or dozens of “Christian” books that he’s written.. or the freeze frame of him on my computer screen, in which he uncannily resembles Stan Laurel. I just hope (as Richie-From-Boston might say) that when the dust settles.. Andy and I can laugh at it all in Heaven.., at least our earthly misadventures.. up until we are both interned in a U.N./FEMA internment camp, and beheaded in some former Walmart parking lot.. for not wearing our masks or suggesting to our overlords that getting inoculated against Covid.. is taking the Mark of the Beast. Oh well, as my Pentecostal mother used to say.., You can’t fight city hall.

Those who turn away from God only know of the Grace of God but never knew the Justice of God. That’s why they can so easily walk away never really having known God. You must preach the wages of sin is death or the Gospel will have no value to men.

The new normal is not normal. I want no part of it.
@scarletpumpernickel33534 жыл бұрын
We’ve all seen clueless sons of preachers.. from Samuel to Swaggart. In short.., it often doesn’t go well.., and I’ve grown to believe that no preacher’s progeny should be allowed anywhere near the pulpit until they're at least forty. In fairness.., I give props to Andy Stanley for not wearing the de rigueur suit, trademark of the modern Pharisee, and an essential of Organized Religion. So there’s that. But… Be that as it may, his message was more college communications class.. than relevant Christianity. I was obliged to watch it however.. because the title employed the phrase “New Normal”.., and I have yet to hear any lucid conversation about Covid 19 (etc) come from the Christian camp. So again, I must give credit.. for at least trying. Unfortunately, overall it was worthless and benighted.., and totally missed the point about our current situation. First of all, Andy failed to barely mention Covid - for example, that it’s a complete sham (psy op), the leading edge of a plan.. aimed it bringing America under the control of the globalists, i.e. the One World Government.., whose objective (apart from money and control) is to rid the world of Christianity, and pave the way for the Antichrist. (in a nutshell) Nothing will be gained by enduring the mask-wearing nonsense of some fake pandemic.., except being gracefully led to the slaughter.. and/or eventually.. your compliance with whatever Orwellian future you might conceive of. And, what wisdom you may wish to learn and carry forward.. won’t do you much good in the internment camp. I suppose this is what rankles me the most - that Andy thinks the Old Normal (normal normal) might benefit from the New Normal. Which is not to say that the old Normal didn’t have it’s faults.., but one doesn’t fight the consequences of rampant Liberalism and One World indoctrination.. by becoming even more liberal, adding skinny jeans to ones wardrobe, and having a positive attitude. The old normal didn’t function (and this is where the American people failed) because they felt the system would work - that they could do as they pleased, while the Government could be relied on to make the necessary course corrections. THAT.. (for starters) is the first bit of wisdom one could glean from Covid - that Government is NOT your friend. So, nice try, Andy Stanley. But you completely missed the target. Next time you might as well go ahead and put on that suit. Welcome to the lunacy that is modern religion.
