What can anyone say Lisette, you bring a very unique lifestyle to many of us who wish we could be there with you. Navy beans looked so scrumptious I tried to bite my screen just to get a taste. I’m a little bit north of you so we got some snow last night, but I finished up the splitting and stacking last week. Shoveled the snow earlier. Now I’ve got a good fire going and started on a lentil soup with carrots, cabbage, o and garlic lots of pepper and will put some good Italian sausage in later. I love this time of year… You inspire with every video. You’re the best!!

Oh, that sounds like a good recipe Jon. I usually use salted pork in this recipe but wanted to try to with slab bacon and it’s really good. Next time I’ll put both! ❤

It's amazing how fast it, (Winter) happens too! Like for example, the other day it was 75. Today it's a little rainy and about 62. Tomorrow will be more rain and 55 and Saturday, it will only reach 42 with more rain and then *changing to SNOW* Saturday evening through Sunday! I'm all prepped too! Wood's all put up, garden's put to bed, my snowblower is all tuned up, lubed up and fueled up, ready to tackle anything Mother Nature decides to throw my way!! It's a magical time of year! *EDIT* I wanted to add that your navy bean soup dish looks delicious! I'm going to soak some beans now and will try this out myself! Might even make a little cornbread with honey butter to go along with it! Thank you for the suggestion!

Things are finally cooling down here in Black Canyon City AZ. Nice summer weather for you. 88 high 60 low. It's 6:38 here eastern time is a three hour difference? I think it's 9:30 where you are. Oh my I've been busy last two weeks. I'm taking care of a 78 year old veteran. He's a captain, they were going to throw him out on the street. So I had to help him. I have him stabilized now. He has his own residence, he's going to the food bank for food by himself now. He's up and around. He was just sitting in a wheelchair three months back. I'll bet he would dearly love to have a bowl of that marvelous soup too. They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. You have certainly captured mine. I use to make a lime bean soup.
