Ever think you’ll do internal mods? Like porting the heads, cams etc? I’m in Australia and I‘ve got everything to go stage 3+ sitting in the shed waiting for the tuner to have time to put in on the dyno. I already know it’s never going to be enough and I’m gonna want to pulling the engine apart. It’s a dangerous addiction!

This is how it went for me: Saw first lowered sq5 on Pinterest. IMMEDIATELY came to KZbin & discovered your channel. How hard is the water pump part? Realistically? I’m about to change IC’s and wanna get this done as well while I’m under the hood.

Gotta put the car into service mode and pull the radiator support forward which is quite easy, from there it’s actually not difficult at all. A few T30’s and the water pump comes out, just need to remove the serpentine belt. But if you’re doing the water pump you should do the thermostat and bypass valve as well.

I just got a 2019 SQ5 and I love it. I'm torn though. I've remapped a Golf TDI and a A3 TDI before, and it was night and day so I know kinda what I'm missing out on. My worry though comes from the Warranty. I've got 1 year of CPO from Audi and then 3 years added on to that, so 4 years of warranty and, ultimately, I don't want to shaft myself if my car has an issue. I haven't though seen anyone have an issue with a tune. Anyone speak to the vulnerability of having a tune? Are Audi going to say fuck off? Could you take a tuned car to a third party mechanics and have that warranty work done, if any?

Just gotta pay to play. But I promise you it’s worth it. You could have a third party warranty if you’re that worried. Additionally finding a good mechanic is the key. No downside to a tune. Go with the stage 1 ECU/TCU. See if you like it… go from there my man ! I promise you.. your mind will be blown.

Cap isn’t larger than this in any way. It has zero flow data and less surface area. It doesn’t have the FDS technology IE developed to distribute airflow equally across the entire intercooler. It’s probably barely enough to keep up with the stock turbo. An intercooler isn’t just an intercooler. There are definitely massive differences in cores, types, and technologies utilized. This race IC blows everything else out of the water for the B9 platform.

@@Corbots80 IE has proper flow data on their website so I can claim that based on their testing. My Delta for IAT’s dropped 10C in the 1/4 mile over the standard IE FDS intercooler. Also this intercooler helped me run a 9.9s Maybe your ignorance of quality products is your biggest downfall. enjoy mediocrity. I’m here to push the limits 😄

@@Corbots80 let me know when CAP’s IC run’s 9’s. Never the less even low 10’s. I don’t have the data but multiple tuning companies have tested CAP, ECS, and a few other china based intercooler cores results showed proof they are underperforming compared to Wagner and IE’s intercoolers. Other B9’s have ran 9’s ONLY on IE’s FDS IC or Wagner’s IC. IE has data for it, Wagner has data, CAP has zero information. The results speak for themselves. Also like I said I’ve collected data compared to IE’s standard IC. This intercooler doesn’t care how much heat it needs to deal with. If you want to provide a CAP IC, I’ll gladly compare it back to back with IE’s Race IC. I’ll bet 500$, IE’s Race IC will blow the CAP IC out of the water with cooling performance. You ended off with an ad hominem attack. Insulting intelligence during an intercooler conversation? I think it’s okay to have an opinion. Thats when I know I’ve won the argument and it’s time to move on.

No. That’s already an IE FDS 800HP rated IC. The oem one is tiny. You can see the oem one at the closer to the end of the video.

bro how much of a difference did the 034 map make from ie. because we opened the ie map and its hella safe. thre is no way that we can run a 10.1 or late 9 on that. did u get a custom map from 034.

Not sure you opened IE’s map? Or 034’s map? I ran a 10.1 on IE’s OTS tune. The same file they have now available. Same with 034. I bought their stage 3+ TTE810 tune and flashed it. Then went and ran 10.1 in 2000DA. Neither company make custom tunes or offer any custom tuning what so ever.

Womp womp. I have a 9 second pass with it in an SUV. I’ve told you the data I’ve gathered is a 10-12C delta decrease in IAT’s in a 1/4 mile run vs my previous IE intercooler.
