Preparing the Vehicle Assembly Building for the Future

The iconic Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida is undergoing renovations to handle more rockets and spacecraft for the next generation of space explorers. The refurbishment includes modernizing the facility's infrastructure, including pulling out 50 miles of old cables.

If there was a way I would designate a larger portion of my taxes to go to NASA. Instead of cuts I would like to see NASA have the all the funding it needs to keep us advancing into the future. What about you?

That about says it. As a nation we have lost our way and all you are looking at here is an interesting jobs program. When Von Braun was showing all the new stuff at KSC to VP Lyndon Johnson he spoke of being proud of the legacy, the space infrastructure, that was being left to future generations. Johnson said "Naw, we'll just piss it all away." Sadly the politician understood more than the rocket scientist.

The near future looks very promising. If only congress could see past it's nose and allow more funding for our space exploration infrastructure then maybe those electricians could afford a mechanical cable puller.

I cannot emphasize strong enough how HUGELY Important it is not only for America or for NASA or for the Technical & Scientifical continuing future progress that all responsible politicians of the US Senate & the Congress that these Brave Foreward-aiming coming planned projects like the ORION MPCV & the Deep Space Exploration Mission will NOT be further delayed or halted; the gathered Democratic Free World's Technical lead is vastly more important than most common people would realize right now!

I love the space program with all my heart , but why is it taking so long to build a new launch system when private space companies seem to be building things at record speeds . come on NASA get your crap together . I still love you
