Thank for sharing your experiences on Alone. As viewer, we forget the condition you're in and wonder why the contestants are doing some unusual things or become forgetful... and thats b/c you are hungry, cold, and above all dehydrate.

Dub, you are a rockstar. I have a question. When I saw the episode where the mice got to your stash I wondered, could you use your camera case as a food cash or were there rules against that? I’m sure your time on the show will do you well.

They wouldn’t let us use the camera equipment for storage, but I did store a ton of smoked fish in my backpack. That worked pretty good

You sure did a lot of preparing Dub, but I think it definitely paid off! I heard this a while back, not sure if it was true or not, but is it true that the show provides contestants with some money to purchase the gear and clothing you need? I think it's so interesting how on a show called Alone, where you are literally alone for most of it, that the contestants seem to make so many friends before and after. But that is so cool! It seems like such a great community of people!

I’m honestly not sure. There were borders that I never reached because it got too thick for me to travel

I’m not sure exactly, but it was a pretty big space. I’ll tell you one thing for sure, it was always a bummer when I heard the beep!

Are contestants allowed to take their normal medications or are they disqualified if they need medications?

I doubt producers would DQ someone for needing medications, but I’m sure it depends on how serious the condition is. You definitely have to be in a pretty healthy condition to go out there.

Thank God they let you use barbed hooks. I felt bad for the losses of contestants with the unbarbed hooks. It's cruel and inhumane rule. Lol

We had to cut all of the barbs off. We were barbless only on this season. It was not that bad for me, i ended up choosing much larger hooks because of the barbless rule.

Its sort of a TV thing. Ever notice on an outdoor show where there is tape over a jacket brand logo? It’s very common to not mention branding on TV, but I don’t recall them telling us not to mention the brands though.

Yep. Pretty sure he won it. He let out too much info in this vid that ALONE Admin never picked up on. Releasing vids by competitors prior to series start should be banned. Timber clearly was pulled by Meds. Allowing competitors to release vids before Show starts completely ruins it for viewers. As for me - I've now lost all interest in it and won't bother watching any episodes. Better things to do with my time now.
