Kenyan Matooke are different from Uganda. They are little bit hard and white when cooked. Mostly in Uganda they use banana leaves for “ sweet bananas , and another 2 types of banana for juice “. Those are the best leaves for cooking Matooke . Brenda good work 🤗👏🏾

Erumbi thanks for sharing your culture. Matooke is a delicacy among some tribes in Uganda. I think you cooked bogoya that is why it turned white. Sometimes its difficult to differentiate between the matooke for cooking and Bogoya especially when it's in the garden.
