We’ve booked a trip to Tanzania for this August, but we’ll probably have to re-schedule this trip to 2021. Thanks for the tips!

Will be planning to go in 2021 unless this virus outbreak reappears which I hope doesn’t happen & then it’s back to this house arrest scenario.

Another great video to avoid any pitfalls that you may suffer from before going on safari and ruining your wildlife experience.

The tip regarding disabling the "shutter release without card" is a gem. I spent a day in Bombay once merrily photographing street scenes only to realise half-way through the day that there was no film in the camera. Devastated and so angry.

That must have been infuriating!

@@PangolinWildlife My Indian taxi driver thought it was funny. Because he laughed and told all the other taxi drivers what happened, I didn't use him again. I didn't have a problem with the fact that he laughed but when I found out that he told all the other taxi drivers, that was the end of our business relationship. Good tip!

Certainly well worth taking a small "passport" size hard drive to create a second backup of the images on your laptop and I too like the 'shutter release' warning.

Good point. Back ups essential.

Your channel, is incredibly educational. I learn something each time I watch one of your videos. I've been getting an error that my 600 f4 is not communicating with the camera. I'll check those screws. I've all ready cleaned those contacts. Thank you.

As always, the content is excellent. However, I would add one more item to suggest. For major trips, I have my camera professionally checked and cleaned (especially the sensor). The last time I did this, they installed upgraded focusing software and cleaned my sensor and did other minor adjustments. I am fortunate to have a business within a 30 minute drive with Nikon-factory technicians in-house.

Hi Charl! What's the best time of the year to go to a Sarafi with your crew?
@PangolinWildlife4 жыл бұрын
Hi Marcio. It really does depend on what you want to see and photograph. Check out the website at www.pangolinphoto.com and contact one of the travel planners who will be able to build you the perfect safari. Hope to see you soon.

Check your sensor for humidity spots and dust a few weeks before you go. It only takes a few seconds to take a photo of a blue sky and look. It can take days/weeks to get a sensor professionally cleaned

Excellent Tips! Thank you very much for your video. I love tip number 5 ;-). I'd personally add one more: to check and upgrade firmware of your camera (It helped my once with my Nikon z7 when it was upgraded to v3.) We booked to Zambia and Zimbabwe for September 2020 and we still dind't postpone it. Probably I am a dreamer or naiven ;-) South Luangwa Camp assures us that they will welcome guests starting from 1 August. I also still hope that Botswana will open, too. We would change the bookings then to Botswana. I am still hoping to see Africa this year! I am thankful to Pangolin because I can see Africa from time to time in your videos. I would appreciate if you can do more videos in the field so that we can see animals and environment. I think not only me, but others are also missing Africa. And you perhaps, beside photographing tips can do a game drive for us with sightings, too?

#6 Format your cards before you leave. You shouldn't be formatting cards in the field.
