Thank you Sir, How can we define the aplitube if the pin is Rotating about its axis and not linear translation
@MatejBorovinsek2 жыл бұрын
If there is a rotational movement, a reference point must be created on the rotation axis and connected to a part of the pin using the rigid body constraint. Then a boundary condition specifying the angle of rotation can be used on the reference point.

@@MatejBorovinsek Thanks Sir..When we run with rotation in pre-pro max the simulation is crashing after a few iterations. . Where can I see the log files to understand what went wrong

@@Abhishek930 Hi Sir, were you successful in implementing rotational movement to pin ? I am trying to pin on disc wear simulation and facing the same issue. Can you please help me if you have overcome this issue.

It's very interesting. Can I use Prepomax to simulate temperature rise due to wear?
@MatejBorovinsek Жыл бұрын
No, the temperature generation due to friction cannot be computed.

Thank You Matej for this contribution. I've been lookin in CalculiX Keywords to see how is implemented and cannot find nothing about the wearing, I assume this feature is build natively on PreProMax using CalculiX engine as base, Am i right? Also I've notices that the new PreProMax v1.3.3 has different settings for the slip wear model, specifically on the remeshing. It would be interesting to add some comments on how this has changed.

The forum might be a better place to ask or answer this question. If you ask this question there, I can try to answer it. There is also some information about it in the documentation of version 1.3.3 on pages 30 and 31.

Dear Sir Really impressive Would be really interested if you can add tribological calculation frlm models in research to the contact models like wear or EHL contact or other types of simplified nonlinear contacts that can improve calculation accuracy at lesser calculation times I have sent you a request on linked in would be interested in connecting

Such features would be nice but I am only developing the pre and post-processor for the CalculiX FEM solver. I think such modifications would have to be included in CalculiX.
