Hi i can solve you're doubt, here that you said that the dog dove *in* the pool which means the dog dove (inside) the pool soo the correct answer will be in. In another sentences where miss aditi said during was correct too,at and during both are correct At evening...here "at" denotes point of time soo it will be more likely to say at than in.
