Well I never!!!!! Pease Pudding is grandma staple food and I never saw t come up on a Tesco online shop. I have now!! People, get the spelling right....pease, not peas as it is yellow split peas and could make a great and quick dhal or add some fresh mint from the garden for a nutritious and high protein soup. Thank you Ana and all xxx

Ana, I don't know if you make American dishes much, but one of the best ways to eat canned green beans is in green bean casserole. It's simple to make, especially in a crock pot. There are many variations on the recipe, but it usually revolves around: 2-3 cans green beans, a small onion diced, a cup of diced cooked bacon or diced ham, one can of cream of mushroom soup, and a cup of crispy french fried onions. Salt & pepper. Drain the green beans, then throw everything but the crispy fried onions into a crock pot, set on high, stir, and let it cook for about 4 hours, stirring occasionally. Salt and pepper to taste. If it is getting too thick, you can always add some milk or chicken stock, but the end result should be creamy but not soupy. Add half of the french fried onions to the mix about 10 minutes before serving, and then top the dish with the rest of the french fried onions when serving. :) There's lots of examples out on KZbin.

Those green beans - add some garlic, onion, and some pork (canned is even better). Simmer the flavors in. 😋

Ana, We can't find a lot of medicines here either in the US. But I made a little jar of spicey honey to put in our tea. I just took a cup of honey a couple of table spoons of Apple Cider Vinegar and a Table spoon of red chili pepper flakes. It is so soothing and helps relieve a sore throat and a stuffy nose. I just keep it out on the counter and put a teaspoon full in my tea. Feel better.

Great video, I keep picking up 10 kilo rice's at lidl for 13:99, also keep stocking up on jars of curry from aldi, madras, balti, jelfezi, for the jars, when finished with the jars I put the rice into with the oxygen absorber, got loads of stuff, tins of salmon, ham, spam, corned beef, with expiry dates of 27, all good for 15 + years, good solid tins too, non of this pull the rimple, I keep doing a bit to top up. The systems finished. Another great haul you did :)

@@AnasFoodLifestyle its not the best rice in the 10 kilo bags, its white uncooked basmati rice, that was suggested to me by a friend, as it has the longest shelf life. I prefer the cooked rice in the packets with the different flavours and varieties, I don't recommend 10 kilo cheap bags, there quite starchy and hard. its not great. its great for long life. that's why ill hang on to it. ill put it in to curry jars. i like my aldi puffy fluffy rice lol

Oh, hey Ana, those dry pes can usually give you fresh pea shoots in 10 days. You soak some over night then sprinkle them airly thickly on a tray of shallow compost. Keep it indoors. You can be eating gourmet shoots in no time.

Great video…. Your channel just popped up in my YT feed! Glad to see you still have somewhat “normal” prices. I’m from New York and the grocery prices are insane. Just for a quick laugh, I went and checked my purchase history for Weetabix ….. OMG! I paid $4.49USD last year for a 14oz box and it’s now $11.99USD for the same size box (not even the organic type!) which converts to 9.96GPB according to a conversion chart. I’m glad I vacuum sealed a few for longer storage.

The nestle Nido whole milk powder is good. The taste is a little sweet. I am a milk fiend so it has to be good. I put a little in my long term storage. It only has a shelf life of about 6 months so I only buy a little at a time. I also use it in place of my regular milk in recipes.
