By far my favorite channel. So glad whenever a new video comes out. It’s amazing how resourceful you are. And how many spare parts you have!!!! Great job as usual.

Thanks man! It's good to have parts, but that's a whole other addiction there... Lol

Always remember the Suzuki Quad Racer because when I was a kid in the 80's, went to a monster truck show and part of it was a bunch of exhibition stuff. Queue in Tim Arfons and his Kamikaze jet powered quadzilla! Inside an indoor arena with a fire breathing, smoky, loud jet quad! Absolutely amazing!

My dad has a quadracer 250. Rear end was like a trampoline do to the rear shock being toast for years. But he rebuilt the shock and it is good now. Always ran great regardless

It's indeed an air screw since it's on the air filter side of the carb. So if it likes it out, you're right about needing to go down on the slow jet. Weird it wants less fuel, All my bikes have wanted bigger slow and main jets here in PA. But I'm more south east of Pittsburgh.

Not sure if you sorted out the issues with the just off idle / idle operation... I have seen many times, where this issue is caused by the slide needle being worn. You may be able to see the wear, or maybe not, as it doesn't take much. To try and sort this out you can sometimes raise the clip one notch (lowering the needle). This will make it slightly more lean. This could also be an air leak in one of the crank seals, around the intake or carb. Spraying a little flammable break clean or quick start around suspect areas is a quick way to find these leaks. If the rpm changes when you spray, you have a leak. Cheers.

I dropped a pilot size and lowered needle a notch I think, that seemed to help cleanup the off idle a bit. Needs another test run though

Hey just trying to help out a fellow rider, if you get the measurements off microfiche or the part call--- motion industries--- in Springfield Illinois, all they do is bearings,I just got some obsolete ones , 'different manufacturer' for my Husqvarna 360, 14 dollars! Good luck

If it is running really rich could be a Crank Seal is out on the crank.
@justinstearns9723 Жыл бұрын
Crank seals usually make a 2 stroke run lean, as they suck air in.

You're going to regret using motor oil, that's going to foam so bad lol At least use transmission fluid 👍

Copper and aluminium = electrolysis. I’ve seen people use copper grease on outboard motors and a few months later you can pull the bolts out with your fingers
@davidparker667 Жыл бұрын
Was that in fresh or saltwater? Never thought about that before..
@toocheaptosmoke Жыл бұрын
Used that sealant stuff on the rebuild 10+ years ago, worked alright, not sure how much copper is really in it, haha
