President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed Senator Sonny Angara as the new secretary of the Department of Education.
The President acknowledged the significant challenge in choosing the next DepEd chief and stated that there are many highly qualified candidates for the position.

He is qualified ,many people is qualified and i hope is not just qualified but also can make a good change in deped... Its better to think that we be back to basic... The quality of education suffers because of many mistakes of the past. Like for example, the politics inside the institution.. They want teachers to be writers,speaker ,clerk etc...😅 Back in the past ,teachers focus on teaching and giving grades only...And the quality of education then were good....Preparing everyday lessona and dealing with the childrens attitudes is already very exhausting to teachers. Its good that they increase salary because good teachers can recognize and help the poorest child in the class..

not sure s qualified. madami ako kakilala teachers and most of them dont agree. DEPED sec should be someone that has an idea of how schools work sa perspective sa teachers not just the students. not just any random person.

Dapat sa mga provinces magOffer na ng course sa BS Psychology then if di pa makaPasa Board Exam at least may Govt Certification siya as Associate Guidance Counselor para makaPagWork as Counselor sa mga School from KinderGarten, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary .. very important na these days na mataas ang cases ng students na may mental health problem then hindi alam kung ano gagawin. In God we Trust. (Ref. News DepEd needs 4000+ Guidance Counselors)

Wow so much impressive credentials and achievement! Naway padali na pagsasabatas ng teachers' salary, more schools to those remote areas since Senator xa! While, double faces Sara - Puro selfie lang alam nun pang budol s tao pero kahit isang public school walang napatayo… etc. 500 million confidential funds first year, second year 125 million spent in 11 days for what? Intelligence funds? For what ulit? For destabilization silent style???? Im just asking! That’s why opposition uses those issue to question her competency! Unprofessional pa kc nag resign walang reason! We are taught to write formal letter reason for absent, reason for resignation or atleast notice of resignation pra mahanapan kapalit ung position n iiwan- siya nag resign immediately and irrevocable pa!Grabe! Daming qualified pero performance wise failed,, gaya nung k-12 na alam natin isa si Sen.Angara ang may akda pero sa actual pagaksaya lang ng panahon at naging pabigat sa magulang..magbaka sakali tayo bka iba si sen Angara sa pagpapatakbo ng Deped at maiangat nya ang antas ng education sa bansa.. Sana ay di nagkamali si PBBM tulad ng pagpili niya kay Inday sara na naglubog lalo sa Deped..
