My dad stood outside waiting for him on McDowell and the 143hwy. They were going about 40mph. When the limo went passed my dad standing there, he raised his fist at him shaking it like he wanted to fight him. of course i wanted to do something different than just raise my fist. hah! ok, so i see the extent of your response is downthumbing my comments. interesting... by the way, would it interest you to know that the doctrines of fascism and socialism are directly opposed to each other? that being the case, how could obama implement fascist AND socialist policies at the same time? :D tell ya what: why don't you do a little more research, a little less quote-mining, and then come back when you think you're ready to play with the big dogs.
@rtarbinar
@rtarbinar 15 жыл бұрын
ohhhh, you ALMOST got away with it! sorry, you can't simply make a statement like "it's just a true statement", and expect that to be considered as evidence. you've gotta actually try and put some hair on that bald assertion. that's what i meant when i said "what makes you say"...in fact, i wasn't even asking for evidence of your claim, simply what made you say it. i should hope that your claims are supported by evidence, but alas, people have many other reasons for making claims. what's yours?
@rtarbinar
@rtarbinar 15 жыл бұрын
ok, so you've shown you can use a search engine and mine some quotes. i fail to see why you think this counts as evidence. if you care to provide any, that'd be great. also, i can't help but notice from the juxtaposition that perhaps you thought that that jefferson quote somehow neatly defeated the entire concept of socialism. i suggest you do some more research on socialism. and why don't you use your own words next time, instead of co-opting jefferson's(which i agree with, by the way).

your entire argument seems to be predicated on the notion that this speech was not at all helpful. and, indeed, i'll willingly concede the point if it went in one ear and out the other of all those children, as it has obviously done with you and your society of intellectual giants. we'll just let the children continue to get their messages purely from pop music and tv commercials, & have 30-second memories like goldfish, lacking the capacity to sit through a speech like this. sounds great! :P

maybe you yourself don't need to be encouraged to stay in school, but many people do. as for improving the economy, today's students are the source of tomorrow's economy, and i think a 20-minute speech like that was time well spent. he can't spend every waking moment working on the economy anyway, since projects need time to take shape once the ball is rolling. anyway, what makes you say he's more worried about his fame than his country? i saw no indication of that. was it just a cheap jab? :D
@rtarbinar
@rtarbinar 15 жыл бұрын
ok, let's dispense with the sensationalist labels, and get down to specifics: what corruption? what agendas? what doctrines? what proof do you have? what specific policies or incidents lead to these conclusions? i have a sneaking suspicion that you don't even grasp the distinction between socialism, marxism and communism(or even fascism, for that matter); maybe you should just say "red" :D like i said, let's get down to basics, avoid the labels, and talk about specific things you disagree with.
@rtarbinar

how is he a fool? how is most of what he says "stupid"? i don't really expect an honest answer, since i see so many blanket statements from you: "always oppose"..."when anyone opposes"..."you all freak out"..."most of the stuff"... the last one has the best chance of being proven; can you substantiate any of the other wild claims? but please, before you cite your sources(which you should expect to do if you want to be taken seriously), answer my original questions.

He loved the job and got alot of stuff done doing that time. On the other hand this showboat NOBAMA is out still campaigning, taking trips and hasn't done anything in the past 9 months while thousands of Americans still lose their jobs, the budget grows to $1.42 trillion and Afghanistan is turning into a disaster.

First of all, your comment is blindingly ignorant. Almost every President has addressed American school children for years. The difference here is that Obama's motives for giving the speech were suspect to many. I noticed on the channel that you say the TRUTH will set you free. Well, be prepared to hear the unapologetic truth. Babies, biologically start at conception, BIOLOGICALLY. That means that there is an other human being, whether or not it's a person yet isn't the issue here. It is biologically a human being that can feel pain at 8 weeks. Abortion is legal in the US and Canada from conception all the way to birth. That means that babies feel the pain of being torn apart limb by limb then having

Well that statement is obviously unsupported and heretical if it's actually true. The Pope gave him some books in hopes that he'll be willing to understand biologically that life starts at conception and do something about it. Good Christians pray that the Holy Spirit touches him in a way that he may become pro life, never would a pro life person want someone to die, never. Praying in the way you mentioned is heretical and goes against the pro life standard.

legalize infanticide in which a baby is born and is either smothered to death in a bin or starves to death on a cold steel table. He voted for that FOUR times. He discriminates against the youngest in society and calls them parasites and justifies their torture as a "choice". You just have to see an ultrasound of a baby at 12 weeks to see he's wrong. You'll see that the baby is definitely alive and doing somersaults to strengthen his or her muscles.

Can someone please answer these questions about this speech for me? 🥺 1.What is the speaker's point of view or perspective? What is he trying to convince his audience to believe? What does he want them to do? How do you 2. How does the speaker use evidence to support his position? Why do you think he chose this evidence? 3. What rhetorical techniques does the speaker use, such as appeals to emotion, logic and common sense, or authority and moral character? What about nonverbal communication, such as gestures, eye contact, or facial expressions? What are some examples of these rhetorical techniques? 4. What are some of the argument's weaknesses? Do these weaknesses involve logical fallacies, misuse of evidence, lack of evidence, poor consideration of the needs of the audience, or something else? What are some examples? 5. Based on your analysis of the main point, evidence, rhetorical appeals, and weaknesses of the speech, write a paragraph offering your balanced assessment of the speech as a whole.

*annoyed that people ignore the most basic biology understandable* The truth is, whether you like it or not, children can feel pain from 8 weeks after conception onwards.
