Wow! 🇨🇦Linda

@englishspeaking3607 ай бұрын
I see... Many students have the same problem. The important thing is to work on one tense at a time and get lots of practice. For example, practice talking about your childhood memories and make sure you use the past tense in all of your sentences. For the present perfect, role-play a job interview and talk about your work experience. Also try to remember the 8 signal words I mention in the video. Those usually require the present perfect. I hope it helps!

Sir , Is it alright if I use the verbs Live , work ,teach in present perfect continuous too ? Ex, I have been working in India since 2022. Is it incorrect sir ? I have been teaching English for 12years . Thanks ❤
@englishspeaking360Ай бұрын
Yes, you can. The difference between "I have worked in India since 2022" and "I have been working in India since 2022" lies in the emphasis and nuance regarding the action of working. 1. I have worked in India since 2022 (Present Perfect): This sentence emphasizes the fact that you've worked in India over a period of time, starting in 2022 and continuing until now. The focus is on the result of the action, rather than the process. It may suggest that the work is either ongoing or possibly completed, but the sentence doesn't explicitly focus on the ongoing nature. 2. I have been working in India since 2022 (Present Perfect Continuous): This sentence emphasizes the ongoing nature of the work. It stresses that you’ve been actively engaged in the process of working in India continuously since 2022. It conveys the idea that the action is still happening at the time of speaking, with a focus on the duration of the activity. In summary: Present Perfect ("I have worked") focuses on the fact or completion of the action. Present Perfect Continuous ("I have been working") highlights the ongoing, continuous nature of the action and its duration. Both are grammatically correct; the choice depends on what aspect of the action you want to emphasize.
