You can’t say a Book is great because it’s never been edited! You can only say a book is great because it inspires you. Why ask commentators about the bible or Quran? It has been lost. Just as we have lost all of Jesus life except last three years, we have lost all of that. From the get go, Jesus preaching was not memorized, written down. As they go, people start to write what they remember. What we have are not these things. What we have are translations of was possible written in Armiac, Hebrew, and what was then adopted by Christian groups outside of Palestine, by Non Jewish Christians. Note, original Jesus Disciples were 100% Jewish. They follow Jewish Laws, prayed at the Temple, observed Sabbath as any other Jew. Christians have bastardized version of Jesus desiples' religion.

Gospels of some unknown authors have remained (and even that changed over time), partly truth and partly falsehood. 2) If in doubt ask the people of the book about their scripture = they're the one's that doubt their scripture while Muhammad (SAW) should not and shouldnt one of the doubters. Your claim that the Quran is preserved and Bible isn't cannot even be compared. The word in the Bible existed before creation. It exists now it will exist forever. There is no need for any human to preserve it. It is God's revelation. It's His job to keep it and as He promised the world with everything in it will perish... The Quran has earliest manuscripts discovered and it's well preserved from uthman mayb but gospels have copies of copies which get close to 100ce. Now preservation of gospels is confirmed by Quran. Read facts about Mary and Jesus and test what gospel says

That is they word: Different Quran manuscripts. Unlike the Bible, no one can simply write random pages since mistakes and erros can occur. There is really no need to be alarmed. Simply answer the questions with facts and figures; keeping cool. Note also what Pope Francis said about Islam in his EVANGELLI GAUDIUM - Inter-religious dialogue pp 118- 120 paragraphs 250-254. Surely, from an academic perspective, you would also want to read the best piece of academic work from a hostile source. Then you can see how unaminous an opinion is. I have no doubts that there are some relatively prominent christian and muslim scholars who would ignore the evidence for theological reasons. The best way to find what is definitely 100% true is to read pro and anti books and compare the overlap. You can also get a good idea of what claims christians/muslims will fight for without widespread secular (opositional) support and how much they rely on them. I am personally a christian, and am aware that the claims about the bible are much less than the claims about the Qaran, but this has the added effect of requiring much more to show them to be false. So all considered not looking at the scholarship, which I and most people need to do, both ways, it balances out to a similar level of credibility with the edge the Christian's claims for the hypersceptic.

Interesting information. One will always find authors to support one’s claims. Comparing the Bible and the Quran is like comparing Apples and Oranges. unlike Muslims, Christians have never claimed that the Bible is the expression of God’s ultimate message to mankind. I think another reason is that more Muslims are thankfully turning away from the faith and they are trying to get more to leave the faith as well. They are also making lots of noise about other issues about the Quran and have been for years.
