Preserved Sentinel Steam Locomotives

A look at three preserved Sentinel locomotives in operation:
Works No. 7232 0-4-0VBGT 'Ann' - East Lancashire Railway, also seen on static in the bay Bolton Abbey station on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway. The locomotive spent its working life at British Tar Products at Irlam.
Works No. 8024 0-4-0VBGT 'Gasbag' - Ribble Steam Railway
Works No. 8837 0-4-0VBGT 68153 (LNER 59, LNER 8153, BR 68153 & Dept 54) - Middleton Railway
Also seen on static display / awaiting overhaul:
Works No. 6155 & 6185 0-4-0VBGT - Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron
Works No. 9373 0-4-0VBGT St Monans - Ribble Steam Railway
Works No. 9622 0-4-0VBGT Swansea Vale No. 1 - seen at Pontypool, now at Teifi Valley Railway
Works No. 9537 0-4-0VBGT Susan No. 7 - seen at the South Devon Railway after overhaul, it is now based at the Barry Tourist Railway

Excellent as ever. I always enjoy seeing sentinals chugging around sounding like they are zooming along when I fact they are only doing a few MPH

It's a vertical boiler inside the cab.

In some cases where it is tramway style irregular contact can be made if the chain is not completely tight (not sure how it is meant to be on Ann as I haven't encountered it before)
