Darjeeling should invite Kuma Sagar band for tour soon. Lots of Newars who had forgotten their authentic culture are now excited and proud after seeing Newar culture and jatra videos in internet nowadays. Invite baja gurus from Bhaktapur to teach traditional Newa instruments like khin, paschima, dhaa, nau baja etc. to young generations in Darjeeling area. Nepali identity is not only about Gorkhas, Nepali Khas language or Deusi Bhailo. These are new cultures that only developed in last 250 years. Real authentic Nepali identity lies in Newa civilization of Kathmandu valley and all indigenous ethnic communities with their own languages, cultures and traditions. I had conversation in comment section with young Newa girl from Darjeeling and it was sad to see how ignorant she was towards her true ancestral identity that traces back thousands of years. Only thing she was proud about was Gorkha army. She wasn't ready to acknowledge history of her own people. I hope when people like Kuma Sagar performs in Darjeeling and other places outside Nepal, people will be impressed and curious about their rich culture and heritage
