President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has led war veterans, service chiefs and diplomats accredited to Zambia in Remembrance Day activities held at the National Cenotaph in Lusaka.
President HICHILEMA, who laid wreaths in Remembrance of Zambian, Commonwealth and foreign soldiers who died in various wars, was joined by Constitutional Court Deputy President ARNOLD SHILIMI, Cabinet Ministers and Lusaka Deputy Mayor KETTY NANYANGWE.
Several war veterans, who included former Luapula Province Minister Brigadier General BENSON KAPAYA, also took part in the proceedings.
And Zambia National Service Chief of Religious Services BOSSY NKHOMA has called on Zambians to be loyal, selfless and emulate the spirit of those who died while fighting for freedom.
In his homily during the event, Brigadier General NKHOMA said Zambians must participate in building a united country which enjoys hope and justice.
