Character of a self-centered person (as ask an AI) : A self-centered person often exhibits certain traits that can be easily identified. Here are some characteristics commonly associated with self-centered individuals: 1. Egocentrism: They tend to focus primarily on themselves and their own needs, desires, and perspectives, often disregarding others. 2. Lack of Empathy: They may struggle to understand or share the feelings of others, showing little concern for other people's emotions or situations. 3. Attention-Seeking: They often crave attention and validation, going to great lengths to ensure that they are the center of attention. 4. Entitlement: They may feel that they deserve special treatment or privileges without necessarily earning them. 5. Inability to Listen: They might dominate conversations and have difficulty listening to others, often interrupting or steering the discussion back to themselves. 6. Self-Importance: They have an inflated sense of their own importance and abilities, believing they are superior to others. 7. Manipulative Behavior: They might manipulate situations or people to get what they want, often using others for their own gain. 8. Lack of Accountability: They may avoid taking responsibility for their actions, blaming others for their mistakes or shortcomings. 9. Narcissism: While not all self-centered individuals are narcissists, extreme self-centeredness can manifest as narcissistic traits, where there is an excessive need for admiration and a lack of empathy. Inconsiderate Actions: They may act in ways that are inconsiderate or disrespectful to others, prioritizing their own needs over the well-being of those around them. 🙂🙂🙂

On Rednote APP , some netizens expressed concerns about DeepSeek's performance, worrying that they would be replaced by AI. In response to this concern, DeepSeek gave a philosophical answer. It compares itself to the walls in the caves of the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, which can refract sounds into endless echoes, but these echoes do not understand the emotions and meanings carried in the sounds. It emphasizes that its "power" is nothing more than the echo of human civilization accumulated over thousands of years, and humans are the pilgrims who give meaning to the echoes. This metaphor not only shows DeepSeek's recognition of its own capabilities, but also expresses respect for the unique value and status of humans.

China, China, and China. The Chinese have not forgotten the century of humiliation inflicted upon their ancestors. Today, they are rising to reclaim their place, ensuring that those who wronged them will feel the weight of their resurgence. In every domain, they are advancing relentlessly, leaving their adversaries restless and far behind.

Their distilled 1.5 billion model can run locally on smartphones but their even distilled 70 billion model need a hardware that most consumers do not have. But this is equal to american flagship A.I. models. The only open source model you can get are from Meta (LLama) and Microsoft (Phi-4) and some european models like Mistral. OpenAI and Anthropic's are only provide close source models. There is too much hype around OpenAI and Anthropic's. What if Elon Musk would decide to open source his upcoming Grok-3 Model? Things will go wild as soon Nvidia deliver their new mini computer Q1 this year. One can combine two of them to a local A.I. powerhouse and companies can run at least 70b Models in-house.

DeepSeek utilized Nvidia's H800 chips to train its large language model (LLM) but did so with significantly fewer resources compared to other AI companies. Reports indicate that DeepSeek managed to develop its model using a relatively small number of these mid-range AI chips, around 2,000, while many leading AI firms in US typically require 16,000 or more for their models.

Oh shut up! They didn’t create a model from scratch. They optimised the model from Meta. Meta’s open source really made the fundamental contribution to AI research. DS can only proof that there is some space to make it better, it doesn’t make any fundamental innovation!

@ I double checked they optimized the Qwen, not llama. It’s my mistake. I don’t like media saying they just used 6M and 200 people to build this model. It simply rules out all the effort of those researchers work on exploring. The model works because of open source, not because of China alone. The development of AI in China shows why there are so many rules about AI in Western countries. These rules should be relaxed, similar to social media before the COVID-19 pandemic. Many officials do not want to lose their control and power. Additionally, many companies want to keep their AI services to themselves instead of allowing people to try this new technology.

AI technology holds immense potential to benefit everyone, and it's crucial that it's not priced out of reach for the average person. We need to ensure that AI is very affordable (or free) and easily accessible, rather than being controlled by a few powerful companies. It's encouraging to see innovation from various countries, including China, and hope to see even more contributions from other nations like India, South Korea, and Japan. Increased competition will help prevent any single entity from dominating AI, ensuring that its power remains decentralized and in the hands of everyone.
