This is not actually true, if the citizens vote them in a convicted drug dealer could take the office of the president. The Constitution does not prohibit criminals, ex or not, from being president. The supreme court put out an opinion saying as much...the issue is ultimately if someone is being politically prosecuted they would have no recourse if the constitution disallowed them from running for office. The good news is all of these cases will eventually be dismissed either due to immunity or because they were fraudulent to begin with... it's already happening and Merchon is only delaying the inevitable

"legal expenses", for a common NDA (though it was never ultimately signed). Yet this common nuisance remedy was revived in bizarro-world fashion by Democrat prosecutors after the SOL expired under a novel legal theory that this was in fact a federal campaign finance violation and therefore a felony. Nevermind the alleged campaign finance crime was committed after he was already president so by definition there was no campaign finance violation. Goood grief. Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but a few questions. First, have seen that a person is not a convicted felon until sentence is imposed by the judge. Second, if there was testimony that was prejudicial to the case that took place in the Oval Office when Mr. Trump was in office then doesn't fall under the protection of the supreme court decision on the subject?
