You guys are putting out content that is the true lineage of what the History Channel (used to be)! before they completely went off the rails and got into ice road truckers , big fishing and all that other nonsense ! I love it! You will hit 2M subs at the rate you’re going!, your work is appreciated by us history lovers.

Watching the fall of history channel was so bad, only reason I paid for cable was that channel. At least MTV had a good reason for switching to reality TV as KZbin lets everyone watch any music video at any time they had to change or die, History Channel it felt like only chasing a trend. Though I will say I liked those two guys that went across America looking for yard sales and took the time to go into history of the objects.

@@Zyzyx442 I agree; it was sometime in the early to mid 2010’s, when they introduced ancient aliens, I mean that show is at least entertaining, but pawn stars and all that crap, I cancelled all that, you find 10x better content on of course, KZbin and Tubi, their awesome now, check out the documentaries, some are old but good stuff!.

The Boston Tea party was unknown to anyone at the time because of internal and external communications that existed then. Americans behave as though mobile phones were around at that time. The British did not know of it till 1783 after the British surrendered to the French.

Very interesting comment. I never realized that the British citizens living in Great Britain did not know about the Boston Tea Party until the peace treaty was signed in 1783. I am interested in the American Loyalists who remained loyal to the king during the war. I wrote a paper on a loyalist who was accused of being a British spy and hanged in 1779 in Redding Connecticut. He vehemently denied he was a spy. Whether or not he was a spy has been lost to history. This loyalist received little attention until my article was published in Connecticut History Review this past spring. I am from Connecticut. I will guess that you might be British?

Credit was given to Gates for winning the Battle of Saratoga however as usual there was no mention of Benedict Arnold. Arnold risked his life and was wounded in the leg when his horse fell on him. Without Arnold being directly involved in attacking the enemy it was quite possible that the Americans would have lost the battle.

Arnold sold US out ! Even Villains may have some good in them…

Although he was a traitor he was lied to so many times by us that he felt he had no choice. He probably wanted to get back at those that lied to him. It was and wasn't his fault he became a traitor. Our government is a traitor to its citizens today. So what's the difference?
@MichaelTreadwell-jo9bi4 ай бұрын
@@jamesyoung1167 I see your point. I think he was treated badly by the Continental Congress. His record as a battlefield commander while he was on the American side was remarkable and I feel he deserves credit for that. If he hadn’t switched sides he probably would’ve been an American hero.

Totally enthralling is this historical and biographical account of early United States and of its early Presidents. At this point the account is told about John Quincy Adams -- most impressive, his life. In stark contrast to his life is that of Donald Trump. In contrast to John Quincy Adams Donald Trump is an absolute loser. And to think he again might be elected President. Oh the horror!
