Between Patrick's premature celebration, Linda's epic gaffe, the moment she realized she screwed herself out of the game and Peter's "you gotta be shitting me" look, this ending ranks as one of the best in PYL history

The way I see it, unless someone watched the show so much on a regular basis back in the day, he or she wouldn't think it was a dumb move. That's what I think when it comes to a dumb move. No prize on the show ever exceeded the $6,704 Mediterranean Cruise.

I think she just plain forgot she needed an additional spin to stay in the game. The excitement of going to Tokyo was enough for her to completely miss that, and you can see it in her eyes.

There was someone on Whammy! who on the last spin of the game had three choices, one cash, two prize values unknown, she took the cash which would have not been enough to win, even though the other prizes weren't enough either, better to at least try to win. One contestant on Whammy! had a choice of prizes, one of which was enough to win the game, the other wasn't. Contestant was then told the other prize would have won the game if they'd have picked it.
