It's quite an experience to watch this game knowing the outcome. Every so often I skip to the end to find out who wins, and then go back to the beginning to watch the episode, and let me tell you, when you do that, your whole perspective changes. Any other time I would have been shocked at Bertie. I would have been shouting, you greedy fool!!!!!!!!!! But as it was, the whole time she kept pressing her luck and risking more and more, the whole time she kept acting like a complete lunatic, I was thinking, well, you may as well go for it… You're going to win anyway.

I could definitely tell that Dave just decided to give up. Hard to say why he gave up. That was the only time I have seen a contestant give up.

The only positive thing that can happen would be that the player the spins were passed to hit a Whammy on their last spin and they stay in 2nd place. I've never seen that happen or at least don't remember.

NEVER pass from 3rd place! It's proven time and time again. They could Whammy, but build their total back up higher than the player who passed them.
