I love the camera man's logic during the round 2 question time. Jo: normal shot, Bruce: normal shot, Paige: EXTREME CLOSE UP!! :D Good job camera man!

The $700 slide in round #2 wasn't shown again after February 27, 1984 - until it returned on June 16, 1986, by replacing $500 + One Spin.

That 500+spin getting changed to $700 kind of screwed Bruce on that final spin

The WHeel of Fortune paperback book that came out circa Summer 1987 had the contestant hotline number for other game shows mentioned in it, including PYL nearly a year after it ended.

According to the article about Elway on Wikipedia, it does mention he is currently married to a former Raiders cheerleader, but it says her name was Paige Green. It is a possibility though.

As far as I remember, the next episode was where the N in SPINS fell in front of Paige.

Jo, on her third Whammy, looks like Aunt Esther about to hit Fred Sanford...just an observation... Also, for as close to the end this was, to have the Be A Contestant address up tells me they were still planning on staying....

Terrie Neilson Yup. When they taped the finale, they did not know it was going to be the finale, which explains the rather unceremonious ending.

She did indeed marry John Elway. Still looks good even 25+ years later.

Shortest lived-board in the history of the series--as MAJOR changes are made (not good ones) after this episode.. say goodbye to a lot of $2000, $2500 moved to the same square as Big Bucks, and $1500+One Spin... as the board is chopped heavily in value.

Barry, you may remember seeing this episode in VH1's "I Love the 80's 3D: 1983", in a segment on PYL. It also looked and sounded much better there. Perhaps it was an original master copy that Fremantle provided to VH1.

It is true. I have read news articles that back us up on that. :D

I don't know if it's true, but I heard Paige ended up marrying John Elway.
