Coming in with song # 76, "Press Your Luck".
We are using the Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 and an add on Behringer ADA 8200 for the digital audio interface.
The vocals are recorded using a Slate Digital ML-1 modeling microphone going directly into the DAI.
We have a variety of microphones we are using to record the drums, but most notably a couple of Shure SM-57's, an SM-58, and a Slate Digital ML-2 modeling mic, among others. Drums are performed live by Brother Javis on a vintage set of Pearl Drums with Meinl Cymbals.
The guitars record directly into the DAI and I am using the Amped Roots 2.0 VST for the amp. The Bass guitar is also going directly into the DAI, and I have some Slate Digital plugins I am using to get the tone.
I record everything into Reaper for the DAW, and use Slate Digital plugins to mix the recording. I am putting my final mix through bandlab.com's mastering service on their website, then back in to Reaper with some plugins to put some finishing touches on things.
I am using the Beyer Dynamic DT 770 Pro headphones for some mix down, as well as KRK Classic 5's, and a set of KRK V8 Series 2 studio monitors for final mixdowns.
The video is done in Davinci Resolve (free version) with clips from Pexels.com (free), and some from KZbin as well (Press Your Luck gameshow copyright CBS 1983-1986, other properties belong to their respective owners).
Last, I use GIMP (free) to put together any thumbnails and graphics for the YT video.
I am really happy with this song and how it came out. Tell us in the comments what you think !
