I hope you don’t mind the comment. For new canners its always best to start your canning journey using a tested recipe from Ball books or the National Center for Home Preservation. Chili looks yummy

Agree 100%. It's too easy for newbies to get influenced by unsafe methods. They need to learn the science before venturing into self styled recipes.

Chili is a family favorite around here and I canned some last month in preparation for this upcoming fall and winter. It’s always nice to be able to open a jar up and heat it up. We like a skillet of cornbread with our chili. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day!

I haven’t done it but I know you can. When you use beans you don’t cook them all the way first, just partially. This lady explains wonderfully: www.beyondthechickencoop.com/how-to-can-chili/

It’s pretty much the same thing. “Hamburger” sometimes has added fat. That’s the only difference that I know of
