She is one of the strongest... Not even goalkeepers or soccer players.. But, athletes in general... IF some ignorants strip away personal dislikes re: her... She is a true great... Her attitude was stellar... I was a goal keeper forever ago as a boy up until I quit it in highschool.. I wish I had been half as talented as Hope.. Seriously, and I wasn't a slouch...

dear Hope, I know as goalkeeper you will blame yourself. but you ladies played an excellent game and gave the world a thrilling final. Congratulations to Japan for a well deserved title! And to our USA ladies, congratulations on your amazing performance. I know it's bittersweet to make it so far and lose out to penalties, but you have given us more HOPE than the men of our soccer teams. :) Thank you and we love you.

alondra fraire I can’t see the comments you’re responding to, and I will admit she is a good goal keeper and it’s fine to want to play like her, but as a person she she has shown her self to be far below the standard of a role model. 2014- Arrested after allegedly committing domestic violence, reported as being drunk and belligerent by police. www.espn.com/espnw/news-commentary/article/11553070/why-hope-solo-suspended-team-usa-immediately 2015- suspended for 30 days, after her husband was caught driving drunk, with her in the passenger seat, i.e. failing to take action to stop him. amp.cnn.com/cnn/2015/01/21/sport/hope-solo-suspended/index.html 2016- suspended for six months, after making unsportsmanlike comments about the Swedish team, after her lost to them. This coming after her mouth has gotten her in trouble several times, with her failing to learn. www.theguardian.com/football/2016/aug/24/hope-solo-suspended-us-womens-soccer-rio-olympics-loss

@PlainHope Pitch of a person's voice is determined by the fundamental frequency of the sound generated by the larynx.Fundamental frequency is influenced by the lgt,size & tension of the vocal folds.In an adult male,this frequency averages about 125 Hz,adult females around 210 Hz Men & women have different vocal fold sizes Adult male voices are usually lower pitched & have larger folds. Genetic & environmental factors aside, links btw sexual orientation & voc pitch cannot be discounted

I like the way Hope Solo looks. Im not saying she looks perfect, but i like the way she looks because (1) she is hott, (2) she has nice eyes (3) I like how she is not a small person. She has a nice build. I love absolutely love how she does not have small bones. There are people whose arms are big because of fat or cellulite, she has arms with no ounce of fat on them which makes them look sort of lean or average size which is good. I like women with nice size bones but not much fat or cellulite

@TheAspiringDreamer I aggree with your comment, but I must admit that the U.S. Women's team did "choke". They had soo many opportunities to put Japan away for good in the first half, but never took advantage of the opportunities they were given. Their defense helped Japan to score the first goal, something that shouldn't have happened. If it wasn't for those forwards, we would've looked like shit compared to Japan.
@piperronson13 жыл бұрын
is she pain free now? does anyone know? so much respect for her ♥
@TheAspiringDreamer13 жыл бұрын
@bombs347 I do admit there was opportunities that even had me going "Come On!" but I just I think for me personally, I think choking entails not fighting at all. Yes they made mistakes but they didnt give up is more what im getting at. They weren't perfect and they almost needed to be with the level of play Japan was bringing but they powered through. Really though my biggest annoyance comes from people who put the whole loss on Hopes shoulders, without knowing that GK'ing P/K's is excrutiating

she comes from a rich family and that is why she was able to focus on soccer so much and get so good, because her rich daddy payed for it. Then she made even more money by lying and writing a book saying she was poor but there's no law saying you can't lie and get money from it haha! I know because i grew up a block away from the Mannings (that is her real name btw, Isabel Manning lol she made Hope Solo up when she went pro!)

I'm a goalkeeper aswell and for me this is really inspiring. I broke my collar bone and fractured my wrist and I thought that it was tough to get back after 12 weeks of sitting out. I cant imagine what she went through after all that surgery and trying to get back into the game. I'm Irish but I am rooting for USA in the FIFA Womens World Cup Final tomorrow and I hope someday, to be as good as her and as much as a role model to other people, like she is to me.

@soccerdudez10 thank you! I get so sick of the "choking" responses from people who only started watching soccer because of the hype of this World Cup and how kickass US was playing.They dont know the rules, dont know how hard and tricky certain positions are, but are suddenly experts on the game. USWNT played a strong game and for it to come down to penalty kicks is hard, its never a sure thing and goalkeeping on penalty shots is never as easy as it looks, that goes for Men & Women
@rsrocknroller13 жыл бұрын
Me, as a brazilian (not that) soccer fan, should 'hate' Hope Solo because she was the reason Brazil went back home on World Cup. We brazilians (stupidly) think soccer is our 'possession', n we don´t admit we're not the best. But she's such an example to any people, first 'cause the injury n the recover n then the amazing match against Brazil. I used to be pro volley player n I know what live with pain means. All my respects to Solo, an amazing professional and cativating woman.

Great player, cute chick. Only thing is she's always talking shit, fluffing her feathers or putting LeBron-like pressure on the US to win. It's gonna be painful if they lose this WC. Her excuse last ime was she got benched, she'll have none this time around.
