Friends in this lecture i have basically discussed about the basics of Rupture disc and Pressure relief valves. Various combination of Pressure relief valves and Rupture discs along with the reason for these combinations is being explained in detailed manner. Various combinations explained are RD as primary relief device, RD as secondary relief device, RD in upstream of PRV and RD in downstream of PRV.

The 4th setup of rupture disc at downstream of PRV is done to prevent corrosive gases from common header to enter into PRV internal parts. It is just like 3rd setup, just opposite in 3rd setup we prevent corrosive gases from reactor to enter into PRV internals.
