What is a good size surface cleaner to use with a 2.5 gal/minute pressure washer? 16 inch would be too big. 10 inch is the calculation but don't see those much. Anything good in between that will work? Older guy here starting out with pressure washer. 25 year corporate sucked and ready to get out, get dirt and do my own thing. :)

I been renting my pressure washer per job the last 3 months(part time building clients in Indiana). Have $2900 scheduled on the books for the next two weeks

Hey Tristan you’re the goat, man! Do you recommend using the Dow streamer built into the machine or is it better to buy an injector so the solution isn’t as watered down? I don’t have a lot of money to get started so I was thinking of using the one on the pressure washer for siding and then just using a pump sprayer for concrete.

For oil / grease stained driveways, dumster pads, fast food drive through, service stations use 8-10 Parts of Super Clean to one part Instant Power Heavy Duty Drain Opener (has both NaOH and KOH) - x-jet it (64 oz to 5 gallons). If you want to save $$ buy bulk then mix 9 parts NaOH (sodium hydroxide) to 1 part KOH (potassium hydroxide). Add 3-6 of the mixture cups to 5 gallons of either water or Super Clean. KOH is 3X the cost of NaOH. Using a product which contains 90% NaOH & 10% KOH is like getting the best of both, you will be get a lower in price product with a better exothermic reaction than with Potassium Hydroxide alone, but you will have a faster penetration and better rinsing product than if it just had Sodium Hydroxide.

I heard that running water through the hose reel restricts flow to your tank by the inside diameter of hose reel connection points. Also it reduces the life of your hoses because they will still expand while on the hose reel when water goes through it. “The fresh rinse" on KZbin has a video called never run through hose reels or something like that. Can you check it out and give us your thoughts?

Garden hose connects to pressure washer so it makes sure it gets water. Without the garden hose it wont get water. Pressure hose is how you use the machine. No such thing as a dumb question!

so I'm someone considering getting a business loan to purchase some equipment, such as a truck to haul this stuff. I don't have any revenue generated though. But with seemingly low overhead as a business just starting out, aassuming its just me running the show, how could it run me out of business as you say? It seems like the expense of getting a truck would be paid off each month after one maybe two jobs.

One thing I am confused by....You have a water tank on the trailer...are you pulling from the tank through the pump? I thought the pump needed pressure from the hose to work properly! I understand the downstreaming chemicals but the water is confusing to me.
@jd-it4on24 күн бұрын
Yes the pump pulls from the tank, u don't need pressure for the inlet,it will pull what it needs. As far as chem,if u r doing house wash down stream u want about 1% mix with a bit of soap. Most of these valves won't do more than that % anyways as far as down stream so just rinse plant before and after and don't let bleach stay on house for more than 5 min or so. If u need a stronger mix for roofs or surface cleaning and u want to go cheap route the get a x jet,real simple to use. For surfaces and roofs u will probably do 4 -6% just know u need to be careful with bleach it does destroy things,and buy it from the pool places.
