You know it brother!! Most boat builders only put them in the bow, but Sea Pro put one in the stern as well as the bow. It won’t take a pounding like the bow, but it still gets sloshy back there. Bait looks fresh all day in both wells. 👍👍👍

That looks like Gemlux stuff. I thought you just used the plug so the standpipe is totally out of the way. My Parker has the same system, and when the lid overflows, a lot of the water ends up going into the fish box and nuking my ice...I am going to drill a hole on the far outer edge, insert a hose, and run the excess over the transom.

@@SeaPro360 the boat I had before this had no standpipe and you adjusted the flow with the drain valves. So many people were confused on how to set it to be pressurized so they have a standpipe now, but it’s a cool design. You loosen or tighten the standpipe to adjust the outflow. It’s foolproof (kinda)😏. Sea Pro will still give you first version with no pipe if you want.

They are adult Menhaden. (bunker, Pogies) They do look similar to Gizzard Shad though.

Both wells have pickups Yep. You’re having trouble getting water in when on plane? Are your valves wide open at the pumps?

The issue is pucking up water on a plane the boat dose not come with high speed pick ups. The only thing i can ajust is the inlet flow. My boat doesn't come with ajustment for the drains. I've bought high speed picks haven't installed them yet. Just want to make sure i was soing something wrong. The local dealer didnt provided much help. All the new boats have the same flush pick up. Yes white bait as we call them here in Tampa fl. When I run offshore I have to stop every 5 miles so they don't get to beat up. I bought a pick up just wasn't sure if it was needed with the pressurized system. Maybe user error.

You definitely need to pump in consistently to pressurize the well.

what happens when you get say fish guts or any debris when you drain it? Do you need to somehow back flush it? any recommendations? Not sure how you can if boat is in the water. Im just learning my livewell so excuse for the dumb question if its something obvious. thanks

Not a dumb question at all. Larger boxes have macerator pumps in the drains that pump out “solids” like fish guts and chunks. Chops it up. I don’t have a need for one in my livewell because I can unscrew the standpipe and chunks smaller than 2”wide drain right out with gravity.

right but isnt there a plastic or metal screen at the bottom of the boat transom where it dumps it out. I guess my question is once it goes down the drain on the boat to this transom drain how do you unclog it from there. Maybe yours is different. @@MikeSmedleyOLDSCHOOLSTRIPERS
