XDefiant launch is slightly disappointing...

XDefiant officially launched today and it is not really what I was expecting. I guess I was just under the assumption there would be more things to explore and unlock with the launch. I suppose it is still a pre-season so I'll be patient to see what happens next. Still enjoying my time with the game and will definitely be working towards level 100 on a weapon of choice.

EDIT: Let me make something clear. Camo challenges don't need to be the only thing. If they had a wide array of camo patterns to earn while making our way to weapon level 50, 75, and 100 that would have been infinitely better than nothing. I would happily accept that if they went the OG MW3 route and just based it all of XP especially because of how long it takes to rank up weapons. I understand this is pre-season but everything we see does not align with the initial conversations I had with the developers leading up to release. While I'm happy XDefiant has officially launched I'm slightly disappointed that it lacks a variety of content. The game is still good fun to play and I'll definitely be earning my share of gold camos for hitting weapon rank 100. Thanks for liking, commenting, and subscribing

I wouldn't mind this if there were earnable camos. Mastery could have been completely separate with the xp like it is now. I'm just sad there is nothing else to earn between level 12-50 of my shotgun for example.

I think you may have had an expectation of the game that was never confirmed. I went into this launch pretty much expecting the battle pass to be bare bones, but the weapon skins in the bundles are really cool, imo. I do agree the prices are too high. I think daily deals should be 500-750. But gameplay? I’m having a blast.

This game has damn near been marketed as a direct competitor to COD multiplayer and it is the same style of game so I think comparisons are fair play. Unfortunately, CODs stranglehold on the genre makes it extremely difficult for any competition to thrive ESPECIALLY when COD has been improving its gameplay and visuals over the better course of 15 years so it’s going to be hard for a competing developer to make their game feel as polished

I don’t think it’s the battle pass, it’s the fact the game overall doesn’t have much. Plus it’s the fact that apart from the bp it’s feel like the beta tho I didn’t play the beta or watch much. I am enjoying it a lot but I wouldn’t mind passive challenges like a calling card for 500 kills or something. There is no purpose to player level either yet we need to get lvl 50 for an achievement.

I feel like the ttk is SUPER inconsistent. Sometimes I melt, sometimes I get melted even tho I shoot first and hit every shot and then it shows the enemy at full health. Idk if it’s the servers being overloaded but something feels wonky

All I want from this game is to keep a healthy playerbase for one year. It’s been so nice to just casually game again, have a mixed bag of lobbies, and see every type of player. I was on for about a hour and in that time I played one or two ranked matches are normal game modes I couldn’t a game to save me.. even when playing there was one or two people in the lobby’s.. 3v1 at one point which is just crazy. Good gameplay but hopefully by the weekend it’s all ironed out.

the thing that makes me feel pretty disappointed is that it feels like the past year was spent doing nothing, I've played almost every beta this game has had and haven't felt like theres been really any major improvement anywhere, I know the past year was mainly spent on networking, but even then the networking feels just okay, the lack of content compared to a year ago has me worried about the future of the game, IMHO this "launch" feels like Ubisoft making an excuse to have an open beta they can monetize, when I heard it was launching this month I was honestly shocked because it felt far from ready

Other than the server issues (not be able to find a match), ive had a blast on this game. Some minor hit reg issues, ill die after getting around a corner from time to time. Ill have my shots no-reg every once in a while. But over all, im quite pleased. Im hoping some of these minor issues are just from the servers being overwhelmed while the community all loaded it up. Most of the maps are fun. Ive ran into some cool people on VC already. Ill be leaving COD on "OFF" for a while. Hoping i can get my friend group to give COD a break and play XDEFIANT. This game will be a ton of fun with a team using comms and using their abilities strategically.

Xdefiant was really lagging for me on a ryzen 7 5800x 3060ti. The game was unplayable i turned everything down but made no difference. Said i had 144 fps but the game was unplayable. Has anyone had the same issue? Or does anyone know how to fix it?

I was surprised there was literally no skins to unlock besides mastery camos, and I think the weapon progression is abit slow especially for having 100 levels to go through on top of that, I never played any of the beta's since I only just upgraded to ps5 so all this is new to me so my opinion is probably different to everyone else who's played this but even still there just isn't enough to do

No one knows as no one has hit the max level yet. However devs did say there will be a prestige system but I’m not sure if we will be able to prestige yet as it is pre season I could but completely wrong though 🤙🏼

I had a bad feeling when we had so many maps in the beta. I don’t understand how these developers don’t understand how important maps are. They basically ARE the game, and when you’re in the same areas over n over without any new areas to help keep everything else fresh, than things get stale. That’s one of the main reasons imo on why the OG CoD’s had so much replay ability, wayyy more maps and way more heart put into them.
