It's my 3rd day of IT Support, and this was the solution as to why a shared email account was not receiving emails. The google account associated with it did not allow less secure apps.

thanks for your very well explanation but after may, 30 of 2022 we cannot use the option on google account to turn on the less secure app access because they eliminate that option. on my case I cannot receive any email from the RICOH MP C2503. Just I can scan any documento en send it by my own ethernet network.

Now that gmail has removed the less secure feature, is the a way around this? Or using a different service provider? Outlook maybe? Appreciate the content by the way

Question, if I set up an email address specific to the copier, can someone send an email to that address and it auto print? If so do I need to leave the pop3 "on" for that? or how would I set that up?

I never found a good reason why you would want to receive emails to a copier.... Keep it off

It doesn't work on my Ricoh MP C2500... it says the transmission failed. I changed the DNS to Google's and used both port settings. None of them worked.

i haven't been able to get past the 2 step verification which removes the less secure apps option. best thing to do is open a new gmail account and don't select 2 step

there's no connection to your modem/routher and copier. make sure the line going to the copier is live and working
