Get well soon matey 🙏🏻 I’ve done three months over Christmas / new year (in Italy so no visitors) and it was so so lonely and incredibly boring, painfully so in fact. The only way to bring down any type of anxiety is to break it into small pieces and try controllable and safe things that we may fear of..travel to some space you would feel safe and people known for not being intrussive (avoiding this way the triggering of more complex anxity stimuli), like a Scandinavian city.

Well I never, Preston! This brings back a lot of memories for me having lived there for a year, about 10 years ago. Many familiar sights and sounds and places I haven't thought about since! They really have pedestrianised the main strip. If you get the chance there are some wonderful walks along the river Ribble. Great video, thanks for bringing this to us, Charlie!

The Lamb pub near the prison was one of the premiere music venues in the north west years ago. And he olde blue bell, was a renowned haunt of off duty police officers and prison officers.

Preston did have a great market, i see its mostly gone. I remember blue, white double decker busses parked up but now its pedestrian and the cinema as gone, baths gone, looks sad. The Lamb played live bands, was packed. Blue bell, good beer and traditional, still hope.

I'm no cop lover but I literally don't get it. The cop expertly opens the door causing no damage. Then he goes in first to what could be an armed intruder comes out after probably quite a scary experience to some random shoving a camera at him. All he then does is point out concern for cops families. No swearing no threats very mild sarcasm and that's it? I was bored to tears. Why are you getting so worked up about this I do not understand?

I busked for years with my accordion down the various subways there, and met a lot of great people in the thriving music scene based around there. There were also some great characters like Dublin Dennis the old Irish tramp, who would sing all day if you gave him a bottle of sherry, and who’s son Patrick was the spitting image of Elvis Presley.

You can be so funny Charlie, enjoyed the video blog of Preston, when are you going to visit Accrington, an old Victorian market town between its bigger neighbours of Blackburn and Burnley. Once a thriving town now very much not thriving, but still an interesting place with lots to see! Keep up the good work!

Charlie needs to visit McDonalds near the railway arches in Accrington. There’s always fun with people having fights and decorating the walls with half eaten double cheese burgers. He may have seen the one in Burnley with all the gang chavs outside it.

that was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen, a fire engine speeding that fast through a busy market place full of pedestrians without any sirens letting people know there's an emergency vehicle coming through a speed, absolutely ridiculous.

When I saw the cordoned off area outside the station I thought I’d already seen this video but then I realised that Reggie Photo must have been wandering around Preston town center the same afternoon. Just imagine if these two windup merchants had met. But I suppose the laws of physics would never allow such antagonistic freaks of nature ever to collide. The universe would probably implode.

It's town centre (re), not 'center (er)', hence the combining forms centri-, centr-, centro-, denoting centre. Please use and preserve our proper English language and avoid adopting unnecessary Americanisms. xx
