I believe the art is in having just the right amount of cameras, in the right place, turned on just for the right amount of time. Otherwise you have to employ a full time video editor to go through the 100s of hours you could capture each week.

Wow! That is an ambitious goal. If anyone can do it, it's you three. Before you mentioned this year's goal, Dan, mine for Chaumont, was for the roof to be tiled, proper windows put in and proper floors. I also hoped for electricity (which you already did) and plumbing. But I prefer your goal. I think livable quarters for you is much better. Let's not forget, that everything speeds up now with new skills learned and good equipment. I also think you'll get more sponsors very soon. I also wish for over 1 million subscribers. That's quite doable. Safety, health, love & ca$h for 2025!!!

Hopefully they’ve been creating blueprints as the go, cataloging all the structural elements including the hidden chases that run throughout the château. While it’s a shell it’s fairly easy to add modern utilities but as they begin to get areas buttoned up, it becomes challenging as your always having to think several steps ahead to avoid having to redo work that’s potentially blocking access to the next area. My work projects & home renovations have both gotten smaller over the last 10 yearsI but I love this stuff and am looking forward to seeing what they accomplish this year!

Wow! what an achievement you have reached! I'm a cabinetmaker, for over 50 years, and you might want to save some of those old pipes to make bar clamps when you start wood working. I have used them for about 35 years. it saves a lot of expense and you can make a pipe clamp to any length . They say you need to use black pipe, but galvanized works fine. DougS, Seattle area.

You can do it! The whole place doesn't have to be livable, just enough area to make it comfortable for you. That's such a wonderful goal! It's been incredible watching you guys achieve so much!

They have not achieved much. The guy is now ‘building’ this place for three years and it still doesn’t even have a roof nor windows or proper floors. Just followed a major renovation of a Manor House this burnt down to the walls. The entire house was done after 24 months including all interiors. This is what a team of professionals can pull off and here you are and admire a guy who produces one botched job after the other.

Just for your info, I just recently finished another major restoration project myself after three years doing it on the side in my free time. I love old buildings and O treat them with the utmost respect and care, something this nincompoop never even fathomed. Hence, the cheap concrete blocks on the tower, the senseless usage of steel beams before the walls are properly reconstructed, using cheap OSB on the roof etc. The list is endless. Someone who truly cared for this historic building would never in a million years take such shortcuts.

A good goal!! As someone that came across you sometime during the first half of 2024, I have been wondering as to what you intend to do with the fully renovated building. I am very pleased to hear that you intend to live in it and not turn the Chateau into a hotel as so many large old buildings seem to end up becoming. Of course, for all I know, you may very well be planning on using some rooms as paying guest rooms and that is naturally up to you, but to have the Chateau being a home, even in part, is really fantastic and important.

The fact that man has been using a form of hot air (hypocaust) since the Roman’s invented it shows it must have been a good system 😊 We have an awful trend here (Australia) where the builder puts in an en-suite without a door or only a half wall. The occupiers hate having the toilet practically in the bedroom so they work out a way to shut it off. Trends change. That could explain your moving doorway a little bit. Love the goal for 2025. I can see a little part of it set up and a Xmas tree in the corner. Good luck ❤
