Really enjoyed this. I normally struggle using the clip so I am going to try the finger on the spool cast and the straight rod angle. Thank you!

Another great video, I really like and approve your tip regarding putting the fish in the keepnet or returning to water. See many videos were fish are dropped into water.q

Great tips! Back fishing after many years with Preston in line feeders, 3 sessions so far and i love this style of fishing with the feeder. Been using banded wafters but will defo give the expanded pellet ago. I have had the rod across with a tight bend for the tip but this looks so much better and less of a strike on the fish. Will give it a go!

Love Andy Finlay’s approach to angling, seems to distil things down to making it a set of simple disciplines done really well through practice. Never seems to try to make fishing a pseudo science, just keeps it real. This is not saying it’s easy, doing simple things really well is not easy but he brings clarity where others seek to confuse. There’s a lot of time and effort gone into developing his approach hence he’s able to explain in simple terms why he does what he does and how…, Thanks Andy, much appreciated…

What breaking strain was the hook length or did i miss that
@paulgc9447 Жыл бұрын
I was wondering that myself. I normally use 4lb hook length when using 6lb line but I'm open to correction.

What length of rod is Andy using here? And what is the difference between the Supera and the Supera X ?
@UKprestoninnovations Жыл бұрын
10ft Supera X. The Supera X rods have a number of key upgrades, Minima guides & X wrap being the main two features. Both of these dramatically reduce the weight of the rod and slim down the blank. They also feature more progressive actions compared to the original Supera range.

Sorry never used a method feeder before. 15g,20g or 30g feeder?...not bothered about carp , but would like a tench or 2! Thnx fella.

I have had plenty of decent Tench and Bream using method

May I ask, what length of Supera X are you fishing with? What two lengths would cover all fishing situations? Thanks in advance
@UKprestoninnovations Жыл бұрын
This was a 10ft model. Two rods to cover most situations would be the 10 & 11ft Supera X.

If you fish commercial lakes and you can afford one have a look at the Wandzee to add to your bag, it’s brilliant…

When fishing to islands or far banks do you leave the line in the reel line clip all session or remove it after every cast. Was wondering what happens if the fish runs either way whilst still clipped up. Thanks for the other tips 👍
@UKprestoninnovations Жыл бұрын
It stays in the clip, unless a big fish goes on a run, then you may have to unclip

Using prestons pellet cage feeder atm. With f1 feed 2 mls and 8 mls for hook. Beats method for me this year. Seems like this fish have too work for it more. Get more bites because the fish can only get in one way resulting in more sucks on the 8 ml,buried in 2mls they dont even know its there
