This song is about her experience going to the wrong party. Ending up in a room full of bikers that SA her. For girls who had a similar experience this was a life saving song due to the shaming of SA victims. She also got some heat for explaining her experience in her book while on her book tour. It was heartbreaking to witness as a lifetime fan. She is the first feminist of rock. She laid the groundwork for alt Rock as it's called now. The song was written pre-AIDS so the reference to bandages has nothing to do with that. I really don't think this song has anything to do with prostitution at all. Chirssie might have gone through this herself. My assumption was always that the "changing tires" had something to do with changing rubbers (they are from Ohio) 4. "Stop snivelling... plastic surgeon" I believe refers to stop crying or someone will thump you (i.e. rearrange your face). It's a fairly common expression in the UK.

For a long time I couldn't figure out what this song was really about -- many of the lines strongly indicated that this was about a rape, but I just always assumed that Chrissie was probably a pretty hardcore feminist, I always kind of make that assumption when I see a woman from her era kicking butt so thoroughly in an area that was still quite male dominated at the time. Due to that assumption I was really puzzled by the lines that indicated that she accepted much of the responsibility for the incident, something that i never imagined a strong feminist saying. I'm still really puzzled by her acceptance of the incident, i can't imagine anyone coming through an experience like that with that same assessment, but I'm really impressed by her courage to speak her mind and her toughness. To be able to get through that and come out the other side with that attitude, and then be able to go out and accomplish what she has, man, she is STRONG.
