Felix being with kagami actually makes a lot of sense Felix is like everything kagami Saw in Adrien at first and everything she wanted him to be, determined, confident, and more serious, like at the ball when she said Adriens becoming more who she wanted him to be when he takes risk to ask out marinette and is able to stand up to Gabriel which Felix and Marinette inspired him to do, also Kagami didn’t like it when Adrien acted the way he does as chat noir or more like himself which we see in Lies during the drawing scene but Felix is like the opposite to that well still looking like Adrien

Here is my take: Kagami when she was introduced she mentioned getting with Adrien and how they would be ‘perfect’ together. My guess is that her mother has been pushing her to get together with him since she was created. My guess is her mother’s working relationship with Monarch involved an arranged marriage deal. Hence what she is getting out of their partnership, and why he is now pushing Kagami and Adrien to get together. I also like the idea of Kagami and Felix together, because I think he is the ‘version’ of the boy that she loves that actually fits her lifestyle and personality.

Something interesting in this episode is that Félix comments about his father being worse than Tomoe, which perhaps explains the affection that Amelie has and why she is helping him since his life does not seem to have been easy, and having a bad father at home just makes things worse and maybe she feels guilty for never noticing what was going on around her.

I loved this episode. It honestly might be right up there with Passion for the best episode of the season. Adrienette was fantastic. I agree that the talk between Gabriel and Marinette was executed so well! It had me so invested Felix! Feligami is something that I got spoiled for me awhile ago (to be clear, only based on this episode) which wasn't the worst thing because it gave me a bit of time to consider it. Turns out after getting over the initial weirdness that Felix looks identical to Adrien, I really like this pairing. They're hilarious but quite sweet. I like how they talked and Kagami came to understand Felix's motives and actions. He's extremely misguided but that's what he is, he's not evil or malicious. He was abused and is trying to keep that from happening to others like him. His view of who is worth protecting is just far far too narrow and hopefully Kagami can make him see this.

PRETENTION was nothing short of GLORIOUS and I would give it an 10 out of 10. The story was interesting, enough development in each character and well timed and planned introduction of a new love ship and not too much focus on the fight scene. First, I think it can be safely said that Tomoe and Gabriel are tied for the worst parents in the world with control freak attitudes and make someone like Audrey look like a saint by comparison. I agree that hearing Tomoe and Gabriel talk about how their children are made for each other sounds very disturbing. When someone like Master Fu said that a pair were made for each other, you could tell that it came from a good heart, however, when Gabriel and Tomoe say it, it sounds like a plotted business transaction to use their prized pets to create a perfect "pure blood" offspring. Tomoe really looked like she hated the idea of not being in control of Kagami when hearing that Kagami wasn't acting the she wanted for a Tsurugi heir, the same way Gabriel criticized Adrien's sense of individuality as unbefitting of an Agreste. Both of them treat their children as an investment asset for their legacy and reputation rather than children they're supposed to love. The kitchen discussion was one of the best negotiational|confrontational scenes of all time. Also, I don't know why but Gabriel's body language plus him talking in his discussion with Marinette felt like watching a serial killer talking to their next victim who they feel is getting in their way. Plus, I can't be the only one who thinks that Gabriel was more mad about Marinette not following orders like a puppet and challenging his ego than about her being with Adrien. In regards to Marinette, this has to be one of her finer moments and I loved how she savagely took down Gabriel like a Queen. In regards to Tomoe's akumatisation, it was interesting how they changed up the design from her being a centaur to a hunter on horseback. Also, is it just me or did Tomoe's akuma horse's head look a bit like a hunting dog rather than a horse? Plus, I think the reason Tomoe used more rings might be one of the drawbacks of the ALLIANCE ring cause in KWAMI'S CHOICE PART ONE, the akuma Bibou had more powers because they had four rings. So maybe one ring can only hold one power or more than one power has to be combined with another main power to transfer more than one ability to the ring. After all, in the first half of season 5 with the exception of PASSION and TRANSMISSION, all the akumas only had one ability transferred to them, so in order to get more abilities you may need to wear more than one ring. In regards to Kagami and Felix's relationship, this was a very creative way to introduce it without any cliches that would feel neither Felix like nor Kagami like. Also, I think Felix sees Kagami as a kindred spirit who he sees as an equal to himself and someone he wants to free and protect much like how he wants to protect Adrien. He wants to help them be free to actually be people and not puppets, and in the process found love with Kagami. Also, out of all the adults connected to having sentibeings for kids, Amelie is the only one other than Nathalie who didn't see her child as a puppet and treated Felix more like a person than a puppet. Plus, is it me or did neither Amelie nor Felix really look that sad when they mentioned that Felix's father was dead in season 3? And I just realized that the first hint about the sentichildren theory may have happened in the season 3 episode 'FELIX' because Amelie had said that Felix's father wasn't around to "control" Felix anymore and she didn't seem sad about how she said it either. As for Gabriel sending Adrien to London, I don't think it's fully because of Gabriel wanting to tear Adrien and Marinette apart but it could be something similar to how in Season 3, MIRACULAR served as the introduction to Gabriel's plan to create MIRACLE QUEEN. So, Gabriel sending Adrien to London could be a precaution to protect Adrien and the first step to him waging a colossal attack on Paris by the finale of the season. Also Gabriel really sounds like he's mocking Adrien when he says, "You are free...", it's like he's telling Adrien that he is the one in control of what Adrien does and Adrien can do nothing about it. Honestly, I try hard not to but a part of me really wants Gabriel dead. All in all, PRETENTION was one of those chef's kiss 😘😘 episodes that was well thought out and executed and I can't wait to see more. I feel like saying that I want them in chronological order might be a bit of a longshot considering the circumstances but I still hold some hope, but I'll take any episode that comes as it is and enjoy the show.

Gabriel & Tamoe are up there with Shou Tucker (from Full Metal Alchemist) as parents (look him up & you will loathe him!). The "using their kids as breeders thing" brought up a dream I had the start of this week where I stumbled upon historic information about some of the horrific things the N*zis did, one being "exploitation of children & young adults with aspergers with the intention of "breeding" their genetics with blue eyed blonds", to get the "master race" of their dreams & to create soldiers & stuff. Since it's a dream, I doubt that actually happened. But yeah, Gabriel & Tamoe are N*zis, according to my subconscious... You're certainly not the only one who wants Gabriel dead. I wanted him seriously injured as of Ephemeral, then dead as of Destruction. I was laughing hard at the possibility of Gabriel's death, & I'm no sadist. Gabriel is truly the most messed up character I have seen in a show meant for young audiences.

Both of these episodes were great but Pretension was downright perfect. Gabriel and Marinette's confrontation was so good, and Felix and Kagami had a great dynamic. Though I wonder what Felix plans to do know since he doesn't want to reveal Monarch's identity. I'm also really curious about how Lila found out. I'm glad she's finally taking action after being quiet in season 4.

With the way Gloob is going we'll once again have the finale before we have Kwami's Choice part 2. With that said I love the Felix/Kagami dynamic those two are actually so compatible that it makes you think Felix was supposed to be Gabriels kid and Adrien was supposed to be with Felix's fam, but it sounds like Felix dad has a bit of a back story here.

I totally ship Feligami now. Mainly because of Kagami yelling at Felix and then standing up for him. I thought this episode was great - and I really want Adrien to stand up to his father. Pancake scene was best scene. But on a more serious note - Gloob releasing these episodes is so bad. I know what they are trying to do ( stop the leaks) but I feel like leaks will fade with time and with the community as a whole avoiding them. With whole episodes being released out of order... thats a whole lot harder to ignore. What's even harder to ignore is that if you're a hard-core fan, like me, simply searching up 'miraculous ladybug' to find official sources or episodes on KZbin leads you into a world of spoilers, leaks and click bait. And I'm sick of it.

Now I’m not sure how I feel about the Feligami ship. Because if Felix feels sentimosters are like family members or like to kill one would be like killing his best friend. Hello Bestie 🤩 loved this episode. My favourite was the Felix and Kagami scenes ^-^. Literally Kagami is so cautious about who to trust because she gets hurt easily. And Felix putting himself out there telling kagami his true feelings (not necessarily Romantic) but I thought this was huge that he shared this with her because he's very mysterious most of the time and you don't know what's he is thinking. BESTIE But the way he protects her even when she flips him over is just 🥰 perfection. Gabriel's conversation with Marinette actually threw chills down my spine. He is actually insane beyond redemption. Also, Haze, you had said at some point that Adrinette was the ship that had to sail to save the love square.However, things are now turning towards Ladynoir and an identity reveal. LB an CN would allow Marinette and Adrien to see each other even if Adrien was sent to London, with the flight powers, as you mentioned.

I'm glad you used the word metaphor in relation to the pancakes because I just got done calling them metaphor pancakes in another comment section. The pancakes have come up multiple times in the season and at first I just thought Gabe making bad pancakes no one likes was just this funny humanizing thing. No they were built up deliberately by the writers and probably for this exact scene. Gabe brings up the pancakes as a metaphor, then immediately drops the metaphor and states his bribe and ultimatum. The pancakes only exist because Marinette, a lowly bakers daughter, could bring them back up to use them against Gabe as a metaphor in turn. Gabe isn't the villain because he likes having control. Everyone likes having control of their lives. Sometimes people need to be controlled. Children need to be kept in line, to a degree, by their parents. No what makes Gabe a monster is that he wants to be in control while at the same time being incapable of telling what people actually want. Gabe wants Adrien to be happy but he wants it on his terms. He wants Adrien's mom to come back to life magically because it hurt both him and Adrien when she fell. But Adrien doesn't need his mother. He would have been perfectly happy if Natalie and Gabe hooked up. Adrein doesn't need a perfect modelling career and an arranged perfect trophy wife, he needs friends and someone who understands him. Adrien doesn't even need good well made pancakes, he just needs a father who isn't controlling him and instead spends time listening to him. Even if Gabe was right about being massively successful in fashion as an industry doesn't understand Marinette. He thinks she's some upstart commoner trying to ride Adrien's coattails for her own benefit. She doesn't need to be massively rich and successful, she wants to make people happy with her work and the idea of using people the way Gabe does is abhorrent to her. Also at the end of the day she doesn't have to be a fashion designer to be fulfilled. Lastly he thinks Marinette is only after Adrien because Gabe made the perfect image of Adrien. That's not true. If Marinette wanted a rich high society attractive partner she'd be equally in love with someone like Felix. But she hates Felix because up to this point he's been nothing but awful in her eyes. Adrien and Marinette (a minor case of being an unhinged obsessive aside) are good people who make eachother happy. And that's why they care for eachother. No if Gabe wanted to break Marinette then telling her outright that he would make Adrien miserable by separating him from her and his friends would have left her crushed and unable to properly react. This has been my ted talk. Thank you.

It's been awhile so forgive me if I'm wrong but I think I recall Natalie stating to Gabe that what happened to his wife was her own choice but it not really convincing Gabe away from doing... whatever he was at the moment.

If season 1 marked the birth, seasons 2 and 3 were the growing pains and season 4 represented the adolescence of Miraculous, season 5 is unquestionably the entry into adulthood. There has never been so much angst before; just as adult life is filled with hardship, so too is this show for its various characters, be they young or old. Felix and Kagami is an interesting development if one allows that the "made for each other" trope could work for them even though it was intended to work for Adrien and Kagami. Felix remains something of a wildcard, but perhaps by connecting with Kagami he might yet nail his colours to a particular mast? The other really interesting development is the relationship between Marinette and Gabriel. It has been at best indifferent, but here it took on a new dimension of veiled animosity. At least, having finally paired up with Adrien, Marinette is in a position to fight for him, as any girl might for her lover; Gabriel senses that he cannot deter her by conventional means (as we saw in the alternate future of Cat Blanc) so he is using psychological means to try and wear her down; unfortunately for him, the pancake metaphor failed because she saw a loophole and told him so. She has always been a strong character but this was quite a turning point, even for her.

The Pancake Conversation may be the most transcendent scene the show has ever produced. I was also happy to see the consideration that went into Maurice's characterization this episode. It's not easy to smirk with affection. There was also something... endearing (?) about seeing Felix admit to where he's out of his depth--and for Kagami, of all people, to call out him for socially inept behavior. I find myself worrying that neither of them will survive the series. Perhaps that's ridiculous, but when Felix recognizes the Peacock's creations as sentients rather than monsters, he is highlighting how many lives have been lost since Mayura's first appearance. Even if he's fully human (and I don't know whether or not that's the case), it's understandable why he holds a dim view of the show's main heroes. If neither he nor Kagami is human, is the show willing to acknowledge that they (or Marinette, for example) are no more deserving of life than any amok? "What does she have four Alliance rings in the car?" If you do a lot of driving, it helps to always carry a spare.

I think that it seems lovely when Master Fu says it and disgusting when Gabriel says it because the context is different. When Master Fu says it, it is like 'they will be inexplicably drawn together as complementary opposites, they are lucky to have found each other and to feel together more whole than when apart', while when Gabriel says it is more like a tantrum of 'we're the parents, date who we tell you to! >:(' like an arranged marriage against their will. It is beautiful to find a perfect partner by chance. It is horrifying to be forced to be with someone you don't want to be with when you love someone else. And I think you mean dirty money. Where it just wouldn't feel morally right as it is more like a bribe. It would feel wrong and like you didn't really achieve anything. Blood money is compensation for murder from the murderer to the family/kin. Marinette would not want that either but she's the one he will be trying to murder.

I absolutely loved Marinette standing up to Gabriel. I wish Adrien could have seen how awesome she was, not just fighting for their relationship, but also just combatting Gabriel's messed up views on controlling people. And her smirk!!! When Gabriel was like "I forbid you from going up to Adrien's room!" as if Marinette would listen, and Maurice just stood there like it wasn't his problem. This whole scene was absolute gold. As for Gabriel commanding Adrien, I don't think he necessarily needs to touch the ring to issue commands. Nathalie also gave Adrien a "counter-order" in Protection without touching her ring. I think when Gabriel twists his ring, it's probably just symbolic. I'm a little upset that Nathalie didn't stand up to Gabriel when he said Adrien would be living in London next year, but I'm guessing she has a plan of her own to go against Gabriel before he can actually ruin Adrien's love life. Side note: I love Adrien's expressions as he wants to defy his father but physically can't, and he genuinely doesn't understand why he is unable to disobey or even fight back. When Felix was talking to Kagami about their parents controlling them, he mentions that his father was much worse than Tomoe. As it stands, it seems like Amelie really cares about Felix and wants him to be free, so perhaps Felix's father was a lot like Gabriel and Tomoe. I think there is a theory that Felix's father lost his life due to using the broken Peacock Miraculous, while Tomoe lost her sight, and Emilie also losing her life. I wonder if we'll learn more about Felix's origins and how much he knows about Gabriel and co.'s past. I think Tomoe carries multiple Alliance rings because it seems that Monarch can only send one Miraculous power per ring, with the exception of Nathalie, who gained other Miraculous powers by using the Goat's power. I think this also explains that the powers she created with the Goat miraculous worked differently than the original Miraculous, because she was using an imitation that she created. I also love how Felix basically admitted to stalking Kagami, and then Kagami was just like "You have bad social skills. JUST LIKE ME." Like, Kagami, you were literally being stalked by someone who betrayed Ladybug AND erased like all of Paris (and your mother) and all you have to say is he has bad social skills?? That aside, I personally think they are cute together, and would love to see their relationship grow, romantic or otherwise. I think when Ladybug let Felix escape, it would have been more reasonable for her to at least set up an opportunity for him to explain himself at a later time. I get that she's supposed to trust that Felix will be good, but there are so many other reasons why she shouldn't trust him fully. She doesn't know where to find him or when they'll see him next, and we don't know if he still wants the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous to make his own wish (as he mentioned in Emotion). So while she may be able to trust that he won't attack Parisians again, there's no guarantee that he won't fight Ladybug and Cat Noir. I'm really looking forward to Felix potentially talking to Ladybug about his motives, or at the very least explaining that senti-beings aren't evil. I doubt Felix will expose Gabriel's identity, mostly because it will be too easy lol. I wonder if Nathalie and Felix will help Ladybug and Cat Noir to finally expose Gabriel, or will Gabriel perish / Lila takes his Miraculous before anyone can ever bring him to justice?
