Thank you for this video. I have had success using micro pearl, and micro jade turns out darker and more metallic for me ( not the gorgeous green result you got!) I tend to have a lighter hand applying brushed-on glazes. So next time, I think I will try four coats instead of three.

Some of these glazes are so sensitive to application thickness. I try to do some videos of actual application because different people definitely have different ways of applying and that can make a big difference in the thickness. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the demo on these glazes, Sarah. Can I ask, is this a natural cool firing? I am preparing a kiln load for cone 6 natural cool. Thanks, Sarah!

Hi Audrey, so I just throw these in with my normal glaze load. I do a drop/hold but not a slow/controlled cool. I think I remember that your kiln has 3 inch brick, so you're already cooling a lot more slowly than I do. Plus I often do a vented cool, where I am sucking the hot air out so it cools even faster. I think these glazes will give you crystals no matter what cooling cycle you use. If anything you might get over cystallization with the thicker brick.

@threelittlepotters Thanks so much, Sarah! I will try them in both firings and see what happens. Yours turned out so pretty!

Thank you for sharing! I was wondering, did they run on cone 6? How many layers did u put on the last half inch of the pieces?
@threelittlepotters

They did not really run very much. That very bottom 1/4 inch had one layer, and the layers above did move down to cover it in some spots.

The pearl glaze is, the others are suitable for the outside of cups, but you will want to use a liner glaze for the inside.
