Andy Burnham lives in a large detached house on Park Road in Golborne. It is the only decent road in Golborne as the rest is a right dump. it's just off the A580 East Lancs road, so he can fast track to Manchester whenever he is on TV. I was born in Golborne, but left to go to Sheffield Uni in the mid-1990s. Miss it now and then. Park Road had/has loads of Conker/Chesnut trees and as kids we would spend hours throwing sticks up to get conkers and have conkers competitions at school. Innocent times.

I am from Greater Manchester and to be honest Manchester hasn't been cutting edge of anything now for 25 years They're still feeding off the Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Hacienda, Madchester bollocks, which was great at the time, but it was happening when I was 19 and I'm nearly fucking 50 now. I wouldn't be seen dead in a Parka. The only thing I wear now from that era is a North Face bucket hat, which I wear to keep my hair and bonce warm when driving my convertible Porsche.
