I already watched the two parts last year in Japan because I had to be experiencing a Sailor Moon movie release in the actual theater before it’s completely gone and with Mitsuishi Kotono still in charge of Sailor Moon. It was a moving experience and it was the best arc of the entire revival so I know fans of the original will be tearing up a little bit. I hope it’ll find its public. Enjoy guys ❤

Got the Japanese blu-ray months ago because I couldn't wait for a then unknown international release date. This movie is FANTASTIC. Its incredibly cinematic, gorgeously animated, VERY emotional and easily the best release of the "Crystal" era of Sailor Moon. It made me fall deeper in love with the Stars arc and really appreciate the themes Naoko Takeuchi was going for.

Yes plus so much of the emotional resonance comes from seeing the characters journeys. Crystal is a chore in the first two seasons. But it's worth it to get to know the characters. Season 3 and the Eternal movies are great. And Cosmos is the best out of all of them (imo ofc)

The copyrights holder is none other than Naoko Takeuchi, the creator of Sailor Moon herself. And she's quite particular about how her series should be handled which is why there's been almost nothing done with the series until the revival in 2016. I personally want a Hollywood accurate live-adaptation streaming series with a big budget, at least on par with the One-Piece liveaction, but that's a pipe dream.

I don't know which anime dub you watched, but it's probably the English Viz dub. This one wasn't done in the 90s but much later, since they first English dub changed and censored a lot. So of course it was easier to keep the actors from the Viz dub.

Dear non spanish speakers... Can you imagine for a second if the dubbed version of this movie were like: By the Poder Cósmico Lunar. Or the Sailor Soldiers speaking in english, but their attacks being said in spanish like: Sailor Mercury: Now it's my turn to attack! Rapsodia Acuática de Mercurio! Sailor Mars: I was born to proctect the PRINCESA Luna Serenity. That it's how the movie was for us Spanish speakers. The Dub version uses english names, attacks and even the suffixes "chan, sama". I know the japanese version uses the english attacks and names, but in spanish that doesn't work. Naoko Takeuchi ordered the spanish dub to keep all the english words in our dub. Love her, but honestly that mix between spanish and english doesn't work, they sound more like whitexican girls who speank english to sound "cool".

Not exactly while VIZ media Did redub Sailor Moon 2015 to 2020 the Cartoon Network a few weeks ago just STARTED to air the Queen Beryl arc season 1 of the VIZ Media dub on Cable TV Fridays only but its still possible that from NOW until 2030 they will actually show all 200 Sailor Moon episodes Sailor Stars included on Cable TV. The English dub will still happen. So far, the multilingual version of this trailer also has the Latin Spanish and Italian audio tracks, but no English audio track yet. There's no star seeds, there are only sailor crystals. My gods, when I actually watched it a few months ago, the art really stunned me. For some reason, I felt like art in Eternal was mediocre, and was expecting Cosmos to be the same. But it was actually mesmerizing and breathtaking. Everything was so colorful and elegant. It's absolutely lovely!

Because it kept the pace of the manga. The manga plot had to advance quickly back then to give the anime more story. It's the same for the rest of the reboot, they wanted to stay close to the manga. I'm still alive very glad we got to see so much that was left out of the first anime.

@@rgx4306 Back then the manga and anime were published alongside each other. But the manga only had one chapter per month and the anime one episode per week, which is why the anime had a lot of filler. So the manga had to advance quickly because the anime needed more story they could use. However, the first anime is still very different from the manga. They took the characters and some other elements and basically built their own story with it. The first arc is still pretty similar, but the more the story advances, the more different it becomes. So there was a ton that the first anime did differently or left out. Characters, important aspects of the plot, new forms for the Senshi and other characters... The reboot decided to stay very close to the manga, which is why the pace is so fast. The manga arcs are pretty short too compared to the 90s anime seasons.

Wait what about the English and Spanish dubs??? This is exciting yet weird we didn’t get trailers of them in different languages?? Like when eternal came out like this kinda sucks because these movies deserve so much more! Like whats going on? 😢

That's what I've been saying! It feels like the hype for this release has just been non-existent, and it's kinda depressing, this is essentially the 2nd (and likely last ever) Sailor Moon series finale, and it feels like nobody's tuning in for it 😢
