the thing that never made sense was that maya was "killed" by someone who had literally absolutely NO relevance to the rest of the story. Nate had nothing to do with A, Alison, Mona, CeCe, or any other characters whatsoever so what was the point of him murdering a large character? not to mention that solving Maya's murder took up so much time in the show only for the "murderer" to be an insignificant character who died in the same episode he "confessed"

I truly think Maya is still alive- she was gone from the show too sudden, in my opinion, to really be dead-, but she is not A. I think she will make a return and ultimately help the Liars find out who the real uber A is.

Maya is A-.. She's Red Coat, and Black Widow. "You four girls have been touched by the one Alison fears the most" was the clue Grendmall gives to the girls that Halloween episode. Charles is working with Maya/Uber A-. There was a clue Marlin said, "we have already seen A- in season 1. Maya was in Season 1. She also says that it would be very emotional when the fans find out who A is. What would be more emotional then Maya being alive and being the tormenter? Everything is piecing together. Charles and Maya, they're A-. Though Maya is Uber A- "A stands for Alive" Maya was thought dead only to be alive. Charles was thought dead only to be alive. Everything is coming together.

Shauna and Maya were sisters. Maya knew Ali. B4 she disappeared. So when Shauna lit up the lodge, the lighter was from Maya's rehab. Shauna must of took it from Maya somehow.

You have some great clues, but there are some holes in them. For example, at 12:53, the call Em got while standing above the grave was from Hanna. It shows Hanna calling her, and then Em receiving the call, although she doesn't actually pick up the phone. It's just basic information that the girls called Em because they didn't know where she was, I wouldn't take that as a clue at all, definitely not that. But I do like the clue about the prescription: thats a good one!

Definitely good theories, although I think the girl Toby saw was Shana. Maya is of a thinner build, and has longer, less frizzy hair. The body type, hair length/texture, and clothes match Shana. I definitely feel Maya will come up again.

If you watch the sleepover scene at the start Aria warns Emily that the drink is really strong - implying that she prepared them. She also asks them "Is that a car?" just before they get a text which could have allowed her time to text as 'A' as when she shot moves back to her, her drink isn't in her hand.

I think Melissa also knows about maya being alive if you look at her face when the body bag is brought out also if you think about the night of the fire who hit toby if maya was infront of him there is the whole beige coat theory and that she locked them in the house that night. I recently watched 3x11, Jenna was warning Emily about Nate because at the end Nate says Emily that Jenna saw him with Maya so Jenna came to warn her about Nate but when she saw two cups on the porch she just assumed it's Nate and left. And the call that Emily gets in the cabin I think it was Toby because he already knew who Nate was and I can say this because at the end of the episode we hear the same distorted voice booking tickets for the Halloween train and the voice is Toby's.

Very interesting theory, although I really don't think the show can get away with THREE people coming back from the dead. You put in a lot of work though, and I do sort of feel like her story wasn't ~quite~ wrapped up that neatly and that revealing Toby as A took over that part of the season. So maybe we'll know more at some point. I seem to be alone in this but I hope Maya stays dead. I never liked her. I didn't really buy her as the great love of Emily's life - in the timeline of the show, they were only together for couple of weeks, if that - so I don't think she'd fake her death to protect Emily. Plus I thought she was super annoying.

This seems to make sense due to the fact that they didn't have a funeral for Maya. They didn't even put it on the news to say that Maya is a Jane Doe that they found. If Maya is the leader of the A Team, this could crush Emily and break her heart.

I'm just still intrigued about her death because the way how they explained it was unsatisfactory... I mean her ex-boyfriend killed her for jealousy?? Come on this is Pretty Little Liars, behind every death must to have something more mysterious. In the show have passed like 6/7 years since her "death" so I think would be a great twist for Emily if Maya come back and explain her desaparition.
