Yes, this is the show you’re thinking of! The girl you’re thinking of that starts with an A is Alison. She goes missing and the show is mostly based on the events that took place that night. Also the four main girls start getting text messages from someone signing with just the letter A. The four girls were all friends with Alison. You can say she brought them all together. They think it is her texting. It’s a great mystery show but most people hate the ending. That’s the only reason I would not recommend this show to you cause it’s like you feel like you invested so much time and energy for nothing!!

This show was okay for a couple of seasons but it soon became pretty clear the writers had no idea what they were doing with the mysteries and plots, it definitely went off rails with ridiculousness.

Why it took me 8 days to noticed you reacted to pll? Me and all my friends used to be so obsessed over pll books in primary school. And then when the show came out it was totally different thing but so good. PLL was my first fandom. I had to fall asleep with a flashlight because of -A. Good old days.

This is a great show the payoff at the end isn’t great but personally I enjoyed the show for what it was and I recommend watching it, I’ve rewatched it multiple times purely for the friendships and the relationships in the series and also some of the plot cos some of it is good stuff and some of it feels like they were running out of stuff to do so it has its ups and downs but so does every series
