It's sad to see that he's not really there He is so drunk (because of his hearing and because he thought he was headlining this performance and he is happy his wife is so successful but at the same time sad because his career is ending ) He plays brilliantly but it's all muscle memory his hands know what to do. Good scene but heartbreaking that's what happens to musicians they burn bright then they burn out

@redadamearth Жыл бұрын
@@BKRockwell The guy is BRILLIANT, but I don't know if his style is something that will truly break through in a huge way - and honestly, that's a good thing. He has a great career and a huge fan base, as it is. He doesn't need the pressures of being a "mega-star". Although, yes, his new album (which sounds phenomenal so far) definitely has some more poppy, 80's-sounding tracks. I swear, I've played "Thinking of Nina" a hundred times. But apart from whether he'll achieve some "next level" of awareness, he's literally one of the best living songwriters right now - and perhaps the best singer alive, honestly. I can't think of anyone better right now. Williams and Aldous Harding (who, oddly enough, dated for a while) are pretty much the best two artists in music at the moment. I would kill to see Williams live, but I know there's no way he'll ever make it to Florida. Nobody ever comes here.

I always wonder in this seen if Jackson Maine played this or they cut him off and has someone else do it in the background. Just had him up there for show. Or if he only did the intro riff. They thought it was too long and knew he was looking too drugged out so they cut him off right after when they all joined in. Either way damn good acting from Bradley Cooper. Damn good

Hes just holding the note for too long
@billa3813 жыл бұрын
Ryan Fort was he ment to playing that chord on his own tho? Seems like he came in too early
@RyanFort143 жыл бұрын
@@billa381 Im pretty sure they give him that look because he was just holding the note too long, he's the lead guitarist in this scene so him playing those notes was meant to happen. I think they also may have gave him that look cause he was kind of showing off, because, if I remember right, he was supposed to be leading this show, not playing guitar in the back.
@billa3813 жыл бұрын
Ryan Fort ahh okay thanks
@zbennalley3 жыл бұрын
@@billa381 to me it's him holding the note too long and they are waiting for the cue to come in. Jackson probably has a reputation for drinking so the band is on the tightrope of whether this will be a good performance or a drunken disaster.

Well that was such an excesive use of the tremolo for such a short part and also is not used that much in songs (mostly in solos) PS:( for the ones that don’t know about guitars) the tremolo is the metal stick that either it kills or powers the sound and most of the time (including this one) both going up and down
@hermaneggeb3 жыл бұрын
Here it seems like you are the one who doesn't know about guitars. There is no "tremolo" on his guitar. You are also actually using the term wrong. What you are referring to is a floating bridge, found on guitars like the stratocaster etc. Bradley is using a Gibson 335 in this scene, which is a hollow-body guitar. There is no way to even mount a floating bridge (or "tremolo" as you call it) on a 335. Only way to get close to a vibrato bar would be by mounting on a bigsby, and that works way different. So I would say that nothing in your comment makes any sense. Bradley is here using a Gibson 335 with a bigsby mounted on, but is never using it. He is only achieving the vibrato by bending the strings with his fingers on the fretboard.
@jessedeleon41233 жыл бұрын
Bro that’s all vibrato
@walkingolga62352 жыл бұрын
his gretsch does have a tremolo bar but you can literally see him shaking the fuck out of the neck to wiggle every ounce out of that note. it’s what blues musicians do my guy. if you believe it’s excessive, then perhaps it was a choice his drunk character made to spite the lead singer who replaced him, this is a movie after all.
