I really like Loopy. His cartoons are funny, but I feel sorry for him. He tries to show that wolves can be good, but things always go wrong. Nevertheless, he is positive, optimistic, and kind. I like that.

I feel sorry for this guy. All he wants is a friend. Much like Casper in fact... But Casper at least GOT a friend at the end of each cartoon... Poor Loopy RARELY got what he was looking for. That's actually quite sad.

This show is funny. I love the clip from the the therapist episode. I love it that you dug from the archives this obscure cartoon and polished it up for DVD. It is really cool. I love Hanna Barbara cartoons and this is one of my favorites. Remember to be a good wolf. Like loopy says

Here’s a question, I’m starting to like freak out a bit, I know I’m not having no damn Mandela effect, because I know for a fact loopy is a “man” and the newer Hanna Barbera show that features all these characters remade and portrayed loopy as a “female”..? I’m like really confused here, like it up and compare it to the original loopy.

@@ahegaojosuke3250 Because there's a hefty gender ratio imbalance in the Hanna Barbara cast. A lot of them were very cookie-cutter, same-y male characters. Changing them from male to female allowed them to stand on their own and not be complete clones. Male Loopy kind of can't be discerned from characters like Hokey or Mildew. Similarly, Auggie couldn't be discerned from all the generic child characters. The same goes for Squiddly, etc. (the only one I can't vouch for is Jabberjaw)

OK I think I get the story. All he wanted was to be a friend to people despite being a wolf, but no matter how hard he tried, he was still being neglected much of the time. So at one point he was just done with people and decided to transition to being a lady. Turns out, this was more than a wakeup call for her and she stuck to being sassy and blunt

Yeah, Loopy went through some crazy changes when he decided to stop caring about what everyone thought and become a she... Which apparently not only made her way more chill, but got her friends, a job, and a flamethrower.

Cool that later down the series, People stopped being scared of him because he hands people his card. Now hes just a helpful wolf, where sometimes his help doesnt help. Sometimes he even get happy endings in the shorts run.

I know I hear the vocals of Daws Butler and Don Messick...but who's the voice of what I call the rumpled wolf? Is it Doug Young? Alan Reed? It sounds like Alan Reed...listening closely to the rumpled wolf's first lines had me thinking of Dum Dum on the 'Touche Turtle' cartoons, a role Alan voiced.
