Time to pull this out and watch it again in honor and memory of George Kennedy who passed away Sunday. He was an icon of the 1960s and 1970s. Many films he appeared in were great and I still watch them (forget TV, nothing good on there)

Turner Classic Movies just showed it, unfortunately at 1 AM. Pretty underrated movie, IMO.

Tick Tick Tick opened for Shaft back in the 70's when you could actually watch 2 movies in one theatre for the price of one. Now, its one movie and about 5 to 10 previews.😩

A superb movie. Sad to hear they've messed with the soundtrack. This needs a proper DVD release in it's widescreen format with the original soundtrack.

+Chad Quick I taped mine off of TNT in 1989. The film is uncut and has the original soundtrack so I converted it to dvd. When the dvd came out I bought one and when I saw they changed the soundtrack I gave it to the local Goodwill store.

Do you know if this movie included the Buck Owens hit, "Tiger by the Tail" in the opening scene?
@hoss73ford9 жыл бұрын
when this came out on DVD the original soundtrack was replaced with something else. Nothing pisses me off more than that so I still watch my off-air taping of it.

+Mark Muffs Would you know who artist is that sung the Black Magnolia tune in the original version of the movie? The song is strangely excluded from the official OST album and is not credited in the titles.

+Cornel Lazar No sorry I don't. Most of it was by Tompall & the Glaser Bros and one by Roger Miller (Walking in the Sunshine) I was just thinking of this movie today, time to pull it out. George Kennedy (John Little in the film) died Sunday.

I saw this film years ago. I enjoyed the film and the soundtrack. It's been on TCM more recently but with different soundtrack. It had the feel of a very ordinary TV movie. It didn't seem nearly as good.

The scenario you're describing, is just *'one',* of the men who held the job of *"Chief"* of Police of the town of Delano, in the CBS-TV Mini-series, *"Chiefs".* The stars were *Charlton Heston, Wayne Rogers, Brad Davis, Keith Carradine, Paul Sorvino, Billy Dee Dee Williams, and Susan Tennant.* Among others that I just can't recall right off the top of my head at the moment.
