That's not it. He did it so they would stop harassing his mother. I also thought so at first but when I watched it again, the father said so many things to him. That was the only way he felt he could protect his mother which is why he ran away when he thought the mother was going to forgive the father.

Also, the dad was more of the caregiver before she found out he was cheating. His mom worked hard for her family. That mistress/new wife felt superior to the ex-wife because she had her husband, her son, basically her life. She got her comeuppance when the wife revealed some truths that she discovered. The husband was a piece of 💩!! I still felt like the mistress got off pretty easy thanks to her wealthy parents.

Not the cheating woman's dad saying all he wanted was for him to make his daughter happy? How'd he expect that after she was cheating with married family man for 2 years. One part in this drama that almost made me lose my mind was the husband going on vacations with her with their friends and not one person said anything to her. That information right there was like. 🤯 It was not computing.
