I will agree that starcraft is "a way of life" to some extent but more so I think that starcraft broodwar should be recognized more at a national levle.... like if it was up to me it would be an Olympic sport. Its actually really beautiful when you think about it.... That something can be so deep and personality can show in the game. It should be like up there with the NFL , NBA , MLB in my opinion.

From 1999 when a friend of mine suggested buying the game, to falling in love with the story and protoss characters (my life for Aiur!), to watching Nick "Tasteless" Plott casting games in Korea, to the announcement and hype of StarCraft 2 (and its disappointing story), to Heroes of the Storm allowing me to fight Diablo as Zeratul, Artanis, and Tassadar, to StarCraft Remastered: StarCraft is a great part of life.

I loved the games, especially the first one because it was the first game I played on my first PC, but saying that Starcraft (or any other game for that matter) is a way of living is dumb.

No, it's not. I've used StarCraft as a source of motivation throughout my life, if you haven't that's fine. I used my knowledge of StarCraft to push me to things I didn't know how to do. If I can beat a late game zerg, then what is stopping me from learning how to drive, talking to a girl, giving a speech? It was a source of motivation and strength for me that not everyone has, it has taught me that failure doesn't mean the end, failure is just a means to reaching success. I took more risks, and threw myself to the wolves and I became a better person in life, and a better player in every game I play. StarCraft taught me a lot, and in that way, it is a part of my life.

+CutMESilly You're right, to some people games can be life changing. It depends on who is playing them. Starcraft will not be a life changing experience for everybody, but it can be for someone, like you for instance.

Starcraft is indeed the greatest, and the most difficult, game of all time to play. Honestly it's way more fun than League of Legends, Overwatch and Call of Duty...in my opinion.

Starcraft so fun, strategy game, deceptively easy, its hard. I used to rage on ladder and complayin on twitch about races being OP, laughed at HOTS protoss winning, all the trash that makes a game fun.
