I haven't built a model kit in over twenty years. Still have the bug, though. I'm a USCG veteran and was going to build & paint a "fantasy" US Coast Guard version. Turns out it won't be a fantasy model, as the USCG was transferred the three from the Army after Vietnam, which were used in operational trials on the East Coast, Great Lakes, Alaska, and Chesapeake from 1970/71 thru 1973. They had operational ranges of 300 nautical miles, and could achieve speeds up to 80mph. One had an accident, and the other two were decommissioned due to budgetary issues.

Just pre-ordered from Squadron shop. They said it was on it's way! I couldn't believe it. No one else mentioned the release, and mine is in transit? Way cool.
